What's the deal with Gionta?
He's your top scoring player (by quite a bit) and I can't find ANYTHING about him on this board.
I just traded Yashin for Gionta and P-M Bouchard (Wild). I needed more depth at wing, and figured if Gionta keeps getting ~1 pt/game, the downgrade at center would be worth it.
How do you think Gionta will do for the remainder of the season? Do you think it's possible that he keeps up at this pace?
In your opinion, good move or bad move on my part?

He's a little cold right now, but he'll heat up again. He'll benefit a lot from Elias returning.

The best player on the team by far. Everynight he gives the same effort, 110%.

Is 50 goals a reach for him at this point, supposing Elias makes a successful return for the Devils?

No way Elias scores 50 this year. it is a realistic possibility for next season and future seasons to come. He will play 40 games or less this year. He will have to get back into the routine of playing again. He will likely start off slower then usual.
20 goals is realistic this season. he is the Devils best ofensive talent. Better then Gionta even as Elias is the proven commodity. But 50 goals is not going to happen this year.
Gionta could get 50 but I would say 35-40 is more realistic.

I was talking about Gionta. I'm not dumb, I know Elias ain't going to score 50 in 2005-06.

Kinda looked like you were referrring to Elias.
But like I said Gionta 35-40 is probable. 50 is a stretch

Considering that the thread title was simply "Gionta", I thought I didn't have to refer to him with my post. Oh well, sorry about the confusion. :D
