devils defense and pinching

I have watched several other teams play this year and it seems almost every team's defensman...save minnesota. are aggresively pinching to help out the offense.

It seems the way to slow teams down this year is not play a 1-2-2, but to be very aggresive on the forecheck and force the other teams to make hasty decisions and bad passes.

the devils forechecking scheme allows the opposing defensman plenty of time to make an accurate pass or just simply skate the puck out of their zone.

last night one of the few good forechecks by parise led directly to a turnover and a goal.

the devils don't attack the opposition until they are almost in the devils defensive zone.

I would like to see more aggresive forechecking by forwards, more defensman pinching, and when the forwards do actually backcheck to actually get involved in the play instead of just taking up space.........case in point watch a rangers game and watch their forwards backcheck then watch our forwards backcheck, huge difference.

One thing I've noticed about the dmen pinching is that Brown seems to be the least reluctant to try to hold the puck in. Not my number one choice, but at least someone's trying.

Oh yeah I have nothing against Brown, he's been one of the highlights this year.
I just wish that some of the more offensive skilled and faster defenseman would follow his lead.
I find it funny about Brown that TSN's report says he will "never develop an offensive game" or something to that effect while he's been one of our most consistent scoring dmen.
