Lots of the Rat's new players are looking pretty good so far. Their record isn't great, but the prospects are what really matter.

Suglobov - 22gp 10g 8a
Vrana - 21 gp 6g 8a (rookie)
Pikkararinen - 20gp 7g 7a
Bergfors - 19gp 5g 7a
Rynzar - 22gp 3g 7a
Tallackson - 14gp 4g 7a
Doyle - 15gp 6-7 .919 sv% 2.46 gaa

Good stuff. Lots of NHL-calibur talent (after some seasoning) here.

Have you ever played a competitive sport at a high level (above high school)? If not you have no business making a comment like that. People love to poke fun at professional athletes for "not being able to play through pain". I hope you understand the immense hardship these players go through not only to get better, but to get back into game shape. One injury can lead to others, and other injuries can destroy a career. I'm sure Fosters continued absence has nothing to do with his character (your statement was a blatant character assassination), but complications with his injuries. Think before you make a comment, back it up through some sort of qualification.

Not to pile on, but it's pretty obvious that any hopes Foster had of saving his career are flickering out, and he's about to lose his dream. I'm shocked that people actually attack him for that.

I never saw a Ranger fan go after Blackburn after his career ending injury

It is a shame because i've seen Foster play some solid games and always hoped he'd make it to the next level but it seems he can't stay healthy long enough to pull this off.
That aside, if I may quote the who "The kids are alright!"

Yes, ive played competitive sports. ANd yes, I have gotten injuried from it. But THIS many injuries?? Its not all his abdominen. Its his hip, his shoulder, ect, ect.

Sooner or later you just gotta say.... "Do I really want this or not?" His window of becoming an NHL player is pretty much about closed now.

Interesting comment. Because I read into it differently. This kid could have simply quit along time ago. But it says something about his character, the fact that he has gone through some pretty nasty surgeries and tons of injuries and he keeps coming back.

He may never turn out to be anything, but I admire his determination.

That is a much different comment than your previous one. Thanks for clearing that up.

Then again, in all honsety, the devils arent really all that forthcoming when it comes to injuries. Nobody knows why Foster is out again. It could be his stomach, his shoulder, or maybe an acl?

the "not knowing" is leading me to believe its something not-so-serious. like why after the 2nd game of the season is he now hurt YET AGAIN?

andy by the way... when he is healthy, he isnt exaclty lighting up the score sheets. something tells me that even if he wasnt always hurt, he'd be a jason miller/ neil brady esq bust.

We lost last night but a few things I noticed:

Suglobov was given an A last night. He scored a goal (his 11th in 23 games) I think its about time to call him up. He is the only players with true speed int he system.

Vrana continues a solid rookie season with another assist. His plus minus has continued to get better and better throughout the year. He is down to -3 now. 15 points in 22 games, not bad at all.

Tallackson continues to contribute offensivly, I thought he should have been givena bigger role with the Devils after that 2 point game instead of being benched for the next one. 12 points in 15 games and a +.

David Hale is a plus 5 on the rats, best on the team going out against the oppositions top players. Please, call him up and let him play some big minutes with the Devils. If we are gonna lose, lose with someone who wants to win.

Bryan Miller seems to be leaping up the devils depth charts. He is only a -2, and has 9 points in his rookie season on the blueline. Very solid prospect.

The more and more I think about it, the more and more I think Hale should be up with the Devils, playing 18+ minutes per night. He has exceeded my expectations so far. I really hope Lou is handling his development correctly, because if I was him I would be a little ticked off that I'm obviously playing superbly, and I haven't been called up yet, despite horrible defensive play by a few vets with monster salaries.

That's great news, we really need a good d prospect.

Bryan's game is eerily similar to Rafalski's. Hope the Devils give him a chance at some point.
