I thought Michal Repik from the Vancouver Giants would be there for sure.

Pavelec won't get a shot in nets I take it even thought he may be the best goaltender in the CHL at the moment. They have the strongest 1/2 punch in nets by farrrrrr in this tourney.

Kaspar is too old, and IMO wasn't very effective offensively in the WJC a year ago.

Not a big loss to the Czechs.

I'm surprised only frolik made it of the 06 eligibles.

No Tlusty...I really like Kveton.

I think this team will go far, and perhaps even end up winning the tournament.

I'd say there are two teams ahead of the Czechs, being the US and Finland. Not a bad team though, wouldn't be surprised to see them with a medal.

IMO Finland's 1-2 goalie punch can rival that of the Czech Republic's.

Nice to see three Blues' prospects on that roster, all of whom (Schwarz, Birner, Polak) have a very good chance of making the final cut.

Hard to say Ramo and Rask verses Schwarz and Pavelec....I like Czechs by alot.

Good team. Might be a big weak on defense but the goaltending could make up for that.

On the radio Don Hay (Vancouver Giant's coach) said Repik is going to Chilliwack on Wednesday with the Czech's WJ team, so apparently he will be there after all (which makes sense, he should be).

Hard to say Ramo and Rask verses Schwarz and Pavelec....I like Czechs by alot.

Yes, I think Czechs have better goalie than Finland and definitely better team than Finland. I would like to see Pavelec as a starter as Achwarz is too inconsistent this season. But even third goalie Fiala is pretty solid.
If Smid is there than our D should be good, much better than last year. Top four should be Smid, Kindl, Polak, Gulasi.
Among forwards while there is no superstar-player, we will have four good lines with ability to win the game.

Tlusty and Repik were added on camp roster in the end. Tlusty plays well for Kladno senior team and I wouldn´t be surprised seeing him making the team.
Frolik is basically lock for team and another 2006 eligible Tomas Kana has good chance to make the team. Frankly he has better chance to make the team than Hanzal.

I wonder if any of the Bruins Czech prospects will play on the smae line (Kalus, Krejci, Sobotka).

maybe Kalus with Sobotka. I can imagine seeing Krejci with Smolenak and Frolik. They had good chemistry two years ago playing for Kladno.

Vancouver Giants forward MICHAL REPIK (left) will not be heading off to Chilliwack this week for the Czech Republic National Junior Team Selection Camp.

Repik, who is the top scoring forward in the Western Hockey League, was named to participate in the selection camp for the Czech Republic Under 20 team. The camp will take place at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, B.C. However, Repik has suffered a shoulder injury and will be sidelined for up to two weeks.

Repik, who doesn't turn 17 until December 31, is in contention for WHL Rookie of the Year honours. Through 32 games with the Giants, he is second in team scoring with 15 goals and 18 assists. He leads Vancouver in game winning goals (5) and is second in team power play goals (7).

There are 22 players from teams across the Canadian Hockey League taking part in the Czech Republic camp. In addition, there are three former WHLers who have returned to play pro hockey in the Czech Republic, including former Giants goaltender Marek Schwarz.

Does anyone know when the final team will be announced? Or when any cuts are scheduled to take place?

Its gotta be in the next day or two. It would be nice to know what the final team will be.

They are playing an exhibition game vs. Canada on tuesday. Televised on TSN.

Aren't both Psurny's going to make it?
