PSUhockey34 10-13-2003, 06:00 PM why would you have gordon, kiwi, and eminger as a 5-3 pk unit...its playing with fire and the caps suffered 'cause of it
Koltsov71 10-13-2003, 06:06 PM Why does Gordon have nearly twice as much icetime as Lang and Zubrus?
LV 426 10-13-2003, 06:16 PM Gonchar NAILED Tucker. I guess it was revenge from Tucker's hit two years ago.:D

Leafer4life: since we're on the caps' board here, why don't you post updates when the caps score?
:)
Tonight was the season opener for Cassidy's line juggling. Zubrus and Miller benched. Eminger #3 star....that's a good sign. Another PPG for Bondra. Good to see Cassidy is serious about keeping those shots coming. Good to see Lang get one. Come from behind is also good.
No points for Jagr, but have you notice how much faster he seems this year? Fortin, not Cassidy's favorite....8 shifts 5:47 PT.
I_r_1337 10-13-2003, 07:34 PM Miller benched - Great
Zubrus benched - Stupid
What the hell is Cassidy thinking benching Zubrus when he has so much motivation and confidence. What did he do?
Koltsov71 10-13-2003, 07:47 PM Zubrus benched?
Why?
Miller benched - Great
Zubrus benched - Stupid

cassidy loves to bench guys. loves to juggle lines. he went with 4 defensemen. he seemed to have no set lines at all in the 3rd period.
Boyd Gordon had 24:00 of ice time while Jagr and Bondra had 19:00/18:00 Sutherby played more than Halpern and Kono and way more than Zubrus and Miller.

Good prediction, heh. NOT!
AllIsFehrNLoveAndWar 10-13-2003, 09:08 PM Zubrus being benched might be a smart move in tehend. Hopeuflly he is pumped up for the game tomorrow night.
Sports Junkie 10-14-2003, 05:32 AM Well the benching and juggling worked. They got a point. Zubrus was a non factor when he was in. And Miller the same. This was a physical game and neither were when they were in from what I saw. Hopefully it does motivate both for tonight vs. MTL. if both play. I expect Willsie and Semin the lineup tonight.
