Robin Kovar

He played for the Giants last year, but then had his rights acquired by Brandon (I believe) and I've been checking the boxscores and no sign of him. He isn't listed on the team website either.

Is there any word on whether they are working on bringing him back over (I'm assuming he went home to the Czech Republic)?

I saw a post on another board saying he had gone back home. Not sure what team, but he used to play for Vsetin, so that'd probably be the logical place to check if they have a website.

And what kind of a name for a Czech is "Robin," anyhow? Were his parents Batman fans?

Robin did go back to Czech Republic. I was never a fan of his. He would be great one night and take the next three games off.

Kovar is, indeed, back with Vsetin in the Czech Republic. He has played with the senior and junior squads, and has also overcome another small injury (Can't remember what). Really, he looked good in his 1st WHL game until he was injured, and it never got much better for him after that.
