1. Malkin-Oveckin-Kovalchuk. This would be something. Could call it the MOK line(pronounced Mach) because they'd break the sound barrier.
2. Heatley-Iginla-Sakic- scoreriffic. The HIS line.
3.Forsberg-Alfredsson-Nasland. Yepo, the FAN line

Should, but wont, wait he shound't ether. I give a 3.45% chance of Nash even getting a sniff of playing time.
Gagne and big joe for sure. No way Nash

Thornton was on the 4th line with Draper and Doan at the World Cup. Thornton did however play with Nash in Europe last year and they were dynamite together.
Gagne - Thornton - Bertuzzi

Quiet Robert 11-26-2005, 06:33 PM Havlat-Lang-Jagr (Nice mix of speed, size, great skill and scoring ability. If Elias is healthy though, I'd love to see him on the LW there)
Gaborik-Demitra-Hossa (Great skaters, great offensive skill)
Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Kovalcuck (Would be nice to see Datsyuk centering these two)
Heatley-Sakic-Iginla (Would be great to see)

I tried mostly sticking with real lines or what could be. Think that'd beat most anyone

I like that line...Pasha also worked well with Max Afinegenov...those guys together would be fun to watch.

He said Olympic lines, not All-Star. Stick to one country per line.

PapaBear* 11-27-2005, 02:44 AM I think Thornton+Gagne should be the checking line, since sakic, LeCavalier, spezza/crosby will most likely be the top 3. Skip out on Draper and give the checking role to big Joe. He excelled the best last time around when he was on a checking line.
Gagne-Thornton-Doan would be one helluva checking line.
Cerebral 11-27-2005, 03:30 AM Gagne-Thornton-Doan would be one helluva checking line.
Put Gagne up in the top 6 and go with this for a checking line:
Smyth-Thornton-Doan

Näslund sucks, put either Sundin or Zetterberg with Foppa and Alfie, and you´ve got payday.

I would like to see Naslund-Forsberg-Zetterberg, then Modin-Sundin-Alfy on the 2nd line. All 6 of these players already have great chemistry with each other.
1. Ovechkin-Fedorov-Kovalchuk
2. Alfredsson-Sundin-Forsberg
3. Lindros-Thornton-Nash
Fedorov? Hes been the most unmotivated player on the ice every game ive seen him play thus far this year. Malkin and Datsyuk are more likely to be playing with Ovey and Ilya

Doubtful if either of the guys in that second line, would even crack the Swedish roster :snide:
Malakhov 11-27-2005, 11:49 AM Naslund Forsberg Alfredsson is the scariest.
Slitty 11-27-2005, 02:40 PM Kovalchuk, after 2002, will NEVER play with Datsyuk again. Its gonna be the pattened Datsyuk-Kovalev duo, and Kovalchuk is NOT going to be the 3rd man. Given past history of line formation, Kovalchuk will not play with Malkin and Ovechkin... as he shouldnt be doing for the sake of the team. Yet Malkin and Ovechkin will be on the same line in Turin.

Fortunately for us, they seem to get the job done when it counts. Meanwhile, feel free to continue boosting your ego. It fits the pattern in your post history nicely.
Funny though, most Swedes who I know have a healthy self esteem and have little need for antics like yours. Be patient though, people have been known to mature and get over worse things than that.

Sorry, Z won't play with Forsberg. He did in the WC 2004 and it didn't work out. Forsberg was totally out of shape then because of a recent bad injury but him and Z a too similar players.
It's gonna be more like:
Näslund - Forsberg - M. Samuelsson/Modin
Zetterberg - Sundin - Alfie/Modin

I agree with this. But imho, there is no really good combination of players to put with Forsberg. Näslund will probably flop as usual and who ever we put on the right side don't really have the right qualities. Not to mention that Forsberg has been less than impressive in his defensive work the last few international competitions he's played. Maybe PJ Axelsson could work?
Zetterberg - Sundin - Alfie is a great line combo though I wouldn't mind to see Alfie with the Sedins (if they get picked).
