If the 3rd line is for offense I really hope mcdonald takes pahlssons place on the 3rd line..... I look forward to seeing the new first line at the game tonight.

I disagree completely... pahlson is a decent defensive center, and they need someone liek that with two youngsters.
MacDonald is horrible defensivly and hasn't played for over 6 months... we need to ease him in slowly.
I'd like to see Lupul or Chistov bumped to Ruch's line, and krog put back on the fourth.
Krog is talented, but our 4th line looks like **** without him.

There is a God!!!! Yeah, I think Krog should go to the fourth line. That's where he is at his best. And he is sound defensively, so we can roll four lines.
The only problem is, that's a pretty big Matza ball for Krog to swallow. Going from the first line to the fourth. Hope he takes it well.

I think Pahlsson is a good defensive player that has decent play making ability. If Pahlsson could finish he could be a top 6 guy but he cant, His skills compliment the abilities of Chistov and Lupul really well so I like this line.
Andy Mac should be playing with Fedorov and Sykora when he comes back because Fedorovs all around game combined with Sykoras sniper ability allows Andy to score some garbage goals...he plays Greasy hockey and plays like he's bigger then 5'8. With his speed I think him and Feds could play well together.
Krog played well in Nashville but I think his defensive abilities are better suited with Rooch and Nieds...btw Nieds and Fedorov had some good chemistry going im surprised Nieds has been taken off the line.

Krog is just not top 6 material. Krog used to play on the 3/4th line but It's different now for him when he has to play against the top 3-4 D-Man night in and night plus he is just to small and gets bumped off the puck easily - Krog is kinda a poor man's version of Kaaaariya.
Lupul will probably get moved up to play along with Ruch and Nieds. Lupul plays a similar style to Leclerc anyway. Leave the Feds/Sykora/Prospal line alone - they started to click in the 3rd period against the Yotes.
McDonald will play wing (Lupul's place) on the third with Chistov and Phalson as the center.
Which leaves us a 4th line with Krog/Holmqvist/Johnson.
I doubt Burnett will play against he Sens. He is just not a good enough skater against the high flyings Senators and we most likely will not get into too many fights with Ottawa that night anyway.
Unfortunately an O:4 start is a high possibility at this point - really Nashville and Phoenix are team they need to beat on a consistent base to get into the playoffs.

Yeah Friday vs Ottawa should be Burnett's first healthy scratch of the season...then back in the lineup vs Boston and P.J. Stock and Sandy McCarthy.

I still think that we should keep the top 2 lines the same and have mcdonald replace pahlsson on the 3rd line. That would be a boost for our offense wich is obviusly the weekest part of our game right now. Put Pahlsson on the 4th at least untill we start scoring some goals.

Yeah, at this point Krog offers no more offense than Pahlsson. Which is to say, almost zero.

Chistov-McDonald-Lupul
That would give us a strong defensive 2nd line, and a more offensive-minded 3rd line. We'd have to line match to make sure the kids don't get exploited, but it could work. Meanwhile, this puts Krog in a position where he can improve the 4th line's offense.

thats a good point, but isnt the line with Rooch our defensive line? andymac isnt great on defense. but either is Lupul... but either way, i think it would be wiser to put andymac on the 3rd, no pressure on that line to produce, and after a while maybe move him to the 2nd line and move lupul back to the 3rd.

Actually Krog is tied for 2nd place in the team lead for goals so far this year.
Krog had twice as many goals as pahlsson in the playoffs and those goals where scored with much less offensivly skilled linemates. To me Pahlsson is a 4th liner.
