Just thinking out loud here...and it makes some sense, no? Nolan has kinda been the forgotten man due to his injury.
Todd Bertuzzi-esque player... without having to give anything up. Nolan should be back from injury really soon.
If I call this one right (17th of November...2:29pm) I am starting a blog ;)

Might as well go after Jeff O'Neill

difference being O'Neill is currently with Toronto and playing well, so Anaheim would have to give up something
meanwhile Nolan will be available for free or close to it

And at quite a reduced rate I would imagine.

He hasn't been a Bertuzzi-esque player in many many years. During his last few years in SJ he was as much a perimeter player as Teemu was.

And at quite a reduced rate I would imagine. He will expect at least $1 million. I seriously think his days are done. He is a heavily damaged power forward with cronic groin problems and nowhere near the training discipline needed to keep that body in service. He was Takchuk-like in the offseason with his weight, now he has lost it, but a guy like him cannot afford to take a season off.
He has been in a steady decline, and I think he will have fallen fast during the lock out.
And a million dollar salary is barely enough for him to get out of bed in the morning. So what is he playing for - a long term contract? Money is everything to this guy. I'll bet he starts demanding a multi-year deal.

Bertuzzi has been pretty much a perimeter player this year.

I've been waiting for a while to get rid of him:
Sykora + Salei + 3rd in '06 for O'Neill + 4th in '06

Hes a FA. Nolan is more of a Murray type player. Besides Nolan is done. Finis! he wouldn't be able to keep up, with the so called "up tempo" style the ducks play, why do you fellas think there have been so many injuries?
