I was wondering since i cant seem to find it anywhere. What if any do the teams in the ECHL have with the NHL. I know not all of them have any so any informations or links to this is appreciated.

Springfield (AHL) has an affiliation w/ Pensacola.

SJ/Cleveland signed up with Johnstown and Fresno

Wrong league cowboy. The Plymouth Whalers to my knowledge are CHL, OHL if I recall.

Roanoke was affiliated with Chicago last year, don't know if they still are.

You CANNOT have an affiliation between a Junior team and a PRO team. It just CANT happen.

Why not? Couldn't there be something like once the junior season is over, and the players eligibility has expired that they would finish the season in the ECHL with Florida??

I agree it's rather silly to have them on the same line as the affiliates, however Plymouth also has the line with Carolina and Florida on their website and there's no way they are affiliated with the 'canes. Again other then having the same owner. Also, (according to hockeydb.com) the Everblades have only ever had 3 players who played for the Plymouth Whalers if I'm not mistaken. Robb Zepp, Shaun Fisher and Jared Newman. Of which Newman and Zepp were 'canes draftees.

Back in the day, and I mean WAAAAY back, before the entry draft started, junior teams used to be allowed to be affiliated with NHL teams. It's been against the rules for some time now so that all teams have equal access to all players.

See there has to be some sort of legal way to do this... No, Indianapolis is in the Central Hockey League, an A level minor pro team. Not the same thing as the Canadian Hockey League.

An ECHL can be affiliated with more than 1 AHL and NHL team;

Titans are affiliated with Binghamton Senators, Philadelphia Phantoms and the Springfield Falcons. They are affiliated with the Philadelphia Flyers this year, but last year they were affiliated with the Flyers and the New York Islanders.

Actually, I believe the Long Beach Ice Dogs are the Montreal Canadiens' affiliate, and also AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs affiliate. Three Habs prospects (defenseman Matt Shasby, goalie Olivier Michaud and forward Jerome Marois) have all been sent down to Long Beach earlier this week, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, on the official game notes from today, Montreal is still listed as an affiliate of Columbus. Plus Michaud and Shasby are both assigned there and played. No sign of Marois. Michaud was very good in the shootout.

Not unless this happened just last night. The ECHL official site lists the Long Beach Ice Dogs as independent/no affiliation with any AHL or NHL club.

Teams are able to send prospects to AHL/ECHL teams that aren't affiliated with them if their affiliated team has a full roster already. There's also the possibility of the question of which ECHL team owns the player's rights. The NHL club may own the NHL/AHL rights to the player, but it's possible that the player may have signed an ECHL contract with a different team at some point, thus his rights aren't owned by the ECHL affiliate of the NHL club.
