TODAY
vs. Phoenix, 5 p.m., FSNW2
Site — Arrowhead Pond.
Radio — 1090.
Records — Ducks 5-5-0-1, Coyotes 5-6-0-1.
Record vs. Coyotes — 1-0.
Update — The Ducks called up center Zenon Konopka from their minor league affiliate in Portland, Maine, to fill Perry's spot. Konopka had two goals and six assists in Portland. Left wing Travis Moen, who didn't practice, is expected to miss his second consecutive game with a strained knee. In the teams' first meeting last Sunday, Phoenix goalie Curtis Joseph was pulled after giving up three goals in a 5-3 loss at the Pond. Joseph became the ninth goalie in NHL history to reach 400 victories Thursday in a 3-2 win over Calgary.

They are playing too soft right now.

Lupul your turn
braincramp 10-30-2005, 10:34 PM Headline: McDonald bites Snake
Ducks_è_Halos 10-30-2005, 10:41 PM I'm only listening to the game but I noticed that Kunitz has 5 shots tonight and it sounds like he's playing pretty good out there.
Clockwork Walrus 10-30-2005, 10:46 PM Yeah.. Kunitz has been everywhere, definitely has jump in his step. He's looked solid on the SH and has been arguably one of the best Ducks players out there so far tonight.
_Del_ 10-30-2005, 10:46 PM I'm only listening to the game but I noticed that Kunitz has 5 shots tonight and it sounds like he's playing pretty good out there.
Other than McDonald, he's the forward playing the best so far for Anahiem, imo...
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 10:47 PM It looks like only Selanne and Kunitz came to play tonight. Lupul and Sykora need to wake up. Its like most of our guys are sleepwalking tonight.
Me thinks Brian Burke should give Teemu an extension before he hits 50 goals and forces the Ducks to pay him 6 million bucks.

If you are talking about Leneveu, then that just shows how much you know about hockey. :shakehead
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 10:49 PM Damn Leclerc got our number this year. Tie 2-2
Fighter 10-30-2005, 10:50 PM The turd does it again! :soap: :madfire:

Fighter 10-30-2005, 10:54 PM Andy Mac again!
I know he has a scoring touch, he is just streaky. Well done!
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 10:55 PM Teemu is on fire. 1 goal and 2 setups for Andy Mac.
Fighter 10-30-2005, 11:02 PM 14 points in twelve games... and I thought he was done!
Osprey 10-30-2005, 11:06 PM Wow! Selanne is tearing it up! I am very, very impressed!
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 11:26 PM GO DUCKS! Repeat after me, 1 game over 500.
Fighter 10-30-2005, 11:26 PM Victory YEAH!!! :yo:

***?!?!?!?!?
McDonald19 10-30-2005, 11:34 PM Andy Mac thats what I'm talking about!!!
5 goals in 5 games. He and Teemu have some chemistry going.
:handclap:
Nice game by Kunitz. He looks like a third line NHLer to me.
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 11:36 PM ***?!?!?!?!?
small misunderstanding from our friend in the desert. He thought you meant LeNevue rather than the goaltender selected by Phily with the pick used to trade for Fedoruk.
McDonald19 10-30-2005, 11:38 PM If you are talking about Leneveu, then that just shows how much you know about hockey. :shakehead
nope.
Ducks traded the 59th overall pick in the 2005 draft to Philadelphia for Todd Fedoruk.
The pick then ended up with Phoenix who selected Pier-Olivier Pelletier.
Jerky Leclerc 10-30-2005, 11:44 PM Lupul could use Fedorov back. He needs a setup guy.
Brennan-Gavey-Konopka
Wow, two minutes each for these guys. They won't even need a shower.
Randall Graves* 10-31-2005, 12:15 AM Soft, lame first period, followed by two very good periods with some marginal calls mixed in along the way.
Selanne is just on fire right now, he made a great play on the first mcdonald goal by kicking it to himself. He looks like vintage Teemu.
Glad to see McDonald finishing five goals in five games, he's really picked it up with the injuries.
Fedoruk with 6 assists in 7 games, playing physical hockey...man I wish we had that second round pick now.
I thought the defense as a group played a very good game...after the first period, Niedermayer just makes alot of smart plays. I thought Marshall played a pretty good game too.
Giguere is looking like the 01 to 03 guy, he stole the game by playing well early and making the big saves late.
Randall Graves* 10-31-2005, 12:16 AM Oh yeah, and Kunitz looks like a TOTALLY different player this time around. He is very noticeable.
bcrt2000 10-31-2005, 12:26 AM its great to see teemu playing so well back in anaheim-- rarely do veterans come back to their old stomping ground and play like they never left
Heavy Hussar 10-31-2005, 12:36 AM what really impresses me about selanne is he not only can score, but he hits well, is responsible, and looks after his teammates. he will not go for a breakaway unless he is sure everyone is covering thier man, and he has the ability to snake a puck from an opponent going 75%. the knee is completely healed and i hope he retires a duck. long live teemu!!!! :handclap:
did anyone catch burkes comment about fedorov? he said something about feds contact really limiting what he could do, and that he had more options if fedorov missed 10 games? smell trade anyone?
Jerky Leclerc 10-31-2005, 12:40 AM Anyone think Selanne should get an "A" instead of Fedorov's sore groin?

It's a really complicated issue, you want to be a contender but is trading your best player the best way to go about doing it?
I'd wait til around the deadline concerning Fedorov, I want to see how he plays with the new system, unless you can get NHL quality talent back now, instead of prospects.
Spankatola Jamnuts 10-31-2005, 01:00 AM He was talking about the fact that after a player misses 10 games with a bona fide injury that player's replacement's salary doesn't count against your cap.
Anyone think Selanne should get an "A" instead of Fedorov's sore groin?
Carney was wearing Fedorov's A tonight. Don't know if that was new for this game or if I just didn't notice before.
braincramp 10-31-2005, 04:09 AM Carney was wearing Fedorov's A tonight. Don't know if that was new for this game or if I just didn't notice before.
Carney was identified as an A whenever one of the regular C A A guys were out. Announced at the same time.
bcrt2000 10-31-2005, 06:40 AM by the way, why were the ducks wearing their road jerseys at home?
Guy Legend 11-01-2005, 12:41 AM by the way, why were the ducks wearing their road jerseys at home?
Good question....
braincramp 11-01-2005, 01:13 AM by the way, why were the ducks wearing their road jerseys at home? Because the home jerseys were dirty . . .
lux_interior 11-01-2005, 01:49 AM I'll be......playing hockey and taping the game.
And my team won in OT with 6 seconds left. So we're 2-0 after winning the championship last season.
Anyways, good game for the Ducks. Selanne continues to impress....but I don't think he'll get the "A" because he's only signed for this year. Feds, Nieds x 2 are all signed to multi-year deals. We've got to get him inked to a multi-year deal.
McDonald was great, obviously...and Salei continued his strong play. Good win against a so-so team.
