10/17 vs. Ottawa (http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-duxrep9oct09,1,2959400.story?coll=la-headlines-sports). Thank goodness.

Last year, he was an 18-minute-a-game player," Babcock said. "He was a top-six forward for us. He didn't play as a top-six guy. He was a third-line center who could dominate the other team's center. He could play on the top six. He's that versatile."

Same article has a blurb about Babcock thinking Burnett and Lupul were the two best forwards, for those who don't want to register.

I was thinking he would play in the home opener Sunday...but this way he has a few more days to get ready...He definetly would have helped out there vs Dallas...atleast to get Smirnov, who looked useless in limited minutes, out of the lineup...I assume Holmqvist will take Smirnov out of the lineup for Nashville game...

I agree with Coach about the best forwards vs Dallas...Burnett did what he was supposed to do, and Lupul had a very good debut.

Great news. I am really looking forward to him being back in the line-up. He will make our 3rd line a lot better.
