Edler Von Gud 10-07-2003, 08:39 AM Don't forget about F-P Guenette and M-A Brenier of Cape Breton, it should be a very high scoring game. Too bad Fleury signed with the Pens, it would be interesting to see the Crosby/Fleury match up. iamcaper 10-10-2003, 05:59 AM Don't forget about F-P Guenette and M-A Brenier of Cape Breton, it should be a very high scoring game. Too bad Fleury signed with the Pens, it would be interesting to see the Crosby/Fleury match up. CB's defense and Martin Houle will hopefully give Crosby some trouble so that I can see just how good he is. It is pretty disappointing that Fleury signed with Pittsburgh but I am happy for him. However, I think Houle is a good young goaltender who has come into his own since Fleury left Cape Breton for the WJC's last year. He could have a pretty impressive year, with any luck. hehe iamcaper 10-10-2003, 06:01 AM No, but I'll give you an update from the Oct 16th game in Halifax. The update will be great Johnny Wishbone. Who are you going to be chearing for at the Halifax/Cape Breton game on Sunday? :dunno: Mooseheads@HF 10-10-2003, 11:43 AM Sidney should light it up in Halifax !!! :handclap: :yo: :handclap: iamcaper 10-11-2003, 04:36 PM Sidney should light it up in Halifax !!! :handclap: :yo: :handclap: I'm not sure if that was meant as a joke or not but it was still pretty funny. :rolly: SwisshockeyAcademy 10-13-2003, 06:33 PM I will be there, Looking forward to a great atmosphere. Who is Cape Breton's #2 goalie now? RyanM 10-14-2003, 09:43 AM I will be there, Looking forward to a great atmosphere. Who is Cape Breton's #2 goalie now? Francois Proteau Ryan MacLeod 10-17-2003, 03:08 PM Shut down Crosby... game was kind of boring though... Eagles played like **** on the PP.. I watched it on Eastlink from up in Halifax. SwisshockeyAcademy 10-17-2003, 08:17 PM Crosby was one tough hombre. he is super fiesty. Rimouski lack fire power, A few key passengers. hrdel and Stewart were poor support for Crosby. Sidney was indecisive on the PP and made the wrong pass or shot selection often. Cape Breton did not put forth a Memorial cup effort but they have talent. Houle and Desjardins were the show in net, some truly excellent saves from both guys. iamcaper 10-18-2003, 08:02 AM I was impressed with Sidney despite him not notching any points. It was too bad he didn't shine for Sports Illustrated but he was very gritty and aggressive when driving to the net. Who I was most impressed with was Tim Ramholt and how he handled Crosby. Ramholt was well deserving of third star last night because he handled Crosby like a pro and was easily the best player on the ice with the exception of the goaltenders. Houle made some amazing saves and his counter-part, Desjardins, was a rock in net for Rimouski. I enjoyed the game myself and it was great to see a sell-out. Maybe the fans will see just how good the Eagles are and show some strong support for them. | ||
