HORRIBLE!!! My prayers go out to his family and friends. I hope Heatley can rebound from this. We don't need to loose another young player over this. Is there any word if the Thrashers are going to postpone the start of the season. I don't know how they would be able to think about hockey right now. I know when I play and someone just gets seriously hurt and taken off the ice I find it hard to concentrate on the Game. R.I.P Snyder, the hockey world will miss you.

I have read that the Thrashers consulted with the Snyder family about postponing the game, the Snyder's want the game to go on as scheduled. They said Dan would have wanted it that way.
My prayers to his family, friends and fans and everyone touched by his tragedy.

Even the Lightning players are really thinking about their driving.
"Driving to the rink (Monday), I was driving a lot more careful," St. Louis said. "I don't drive recklessly, but it puts things in perspective. It's not that important to be somewhere a few minutes faster."
"You think you're safe because you're surrounded by the metal of your car and the air bags and the safety measures you have," right wing Ben Clymer said. "It makes you want to slow down and realize five minutes extra isn't worth it."

Wish everyone had this attitude about driving. I just hope they continue to think about it. Is it really worth getting there 2 minutes earlier?
