Four Rookies On The Colorado Avalanche 2003-04 Opening Night RosterZodiac 10-05-2003, 11:00 AM http://coloradoavalanche.com/features/feature1039513171.html DJ Smith was sent to Hershey. Yayo 10-05-2003, 11:13 AM Woo!! :handclap: Let the season begin!! :rolly::rolly::rolly: Jori 10-05-2003, 11:41 AM Let the games begin :yo: Enoch 10-05-2003, 11:44 AM awesome i hope they all start :) avalanchewillburyyou 10-05-2003, 11:53 AM Excellent! They made the right choice by keeping Liles and booting Smith, who is useless :p I really like the mix of veterans and rookies, skill and grit, and most of all, depth and versatility! The Avs have a first-class roster! :handclap: RoyIsALegend* 10-05-2003, 11:53 AM Line predictions now, folks? Also, does anybody have an actual link stating the Avalanche *signed* Jim Cummins to a contract? Tanguay - Forsberg - Hejduk Kariya - Sakic - Selanne Battaglia - Nikolishin - Svatos Worrell - Hahl - Hinote Extras: McCormick, Cummins Foote - Morris Liles - Blake Skrastins - Skoula Extra: McAllister Aebischer Sauve Belgian Fan 10-05-2003, 01:12 PM Anyone else think McCormick will be sent down once Worrel is fully fit? I think it's no use keeping him around playing on the fourth line. Or maybe they'll move him to the third with Svatos going down once Worrel is back to full fitness :dunno: Jori 10-05-2003, 01:17 PM The Avs can carry up to 23 players on their roster so nobody has to be sent down once Worrell is fully healed. Freudian 10-05-2003, 01:33 PM One one hand it is good that McCormick and Svatos are up there, because they have earned their spots by playing well. But I would think one of them could develop faster in Hershey, especially since they have lost some offensive players down there. One of them on the third line and one in Hershey seems reasonable. That said, Colorado has a much better view of these guys than I do. Perhaps they think the kids will learn more by being up with the Avs and train with the talent the team has there. I am sure a guy like Svatos can pick up loads by just practicing with the offensive talent the Avs have. Zodiac 10-05-2003, 03:30 PM Line predictions now, folks? Also, does anybody have an actual link stating the Avalanche *signed* Jim Cummins to a contract? Tanguay - Forsberg - Hejduk Kariya - Sakic - Selanne Battaglia - Nikolishin - Svatos Worrell - Hahl - Hinote Extras: McCormick, Cummins Foote - Morris Liles - Blake Skrastins - Skoula Extra: McAllister Aebischer Sauve Yeah, I think it will look pretty much like that as well. The 2003-04 Colorado Avalanche Opening Night roster is as follows: 1 G David Aebischer 23 RW Milan Hejduk 3 D Karlis Skrastins 24 D Chris McAllister 4 D Rob Blake 26 D John-Michael Liles 8 RW Teemu Selanne 28 LW Peter Worrell 9 LW Paul Kariya 31 G Phil Sauve 11 C Andrei Nikolishin 32 C Riku Hahl 13 RW Dan Hinote 40 RW Marek Svatos 17 RW Jim Cummins 41 D Martin Skoula 18 LW Alex Tanguay 44 LW Bates Battaglia 19 C Joe Sakic 52 D Adam Foote 21 C Peter Forsberg 53 D Derek Morris 22 C Cody McCormick http://coloradoavalanche.com/features/feature1039513171.html I guess Cummins will be there on opening night. I would like to see an article stating that he was signed though ...what kind of contract he got. | ||
