Mannn does he look good! Keep this up threw the years and we'll have a three some of Sturm Marleau Michalek....anywho.

Now I know why people have been telling me he looks more like a top 6 forward then a rookie. Thats a beutifull goal. Look at the poise this guy has at such a young age. He just sniped that one. Now i'm not only going by this goal, he made the team, he had many articles written on him, he gained 15 more pounds of muscle this summer. Impressive off season to say the least for Michalek.

So here's a question for the peanut gallery:

At draft time, we were comparing him at best to Lehtonen. Do we think we need to up the ante now in terms of what kind of player he projects to be?

I noticed Michalek said he wants to play like Sakic.

Michalek is my 2nd favorite player of the draft, besides MA Fleury, obviously. :rolly:

I think he is somewhat of a steal at #6, his rating went down when the critics said he didn't have the offense as much as the defense, but I think he's proving them wrong :) Although I'd say you can't have a steal in the 1st half of the 1st round, but oh well.

Didn't Lehtonen score 31 goals last years, if michalek ever scores 31 goals i would pleased. :rolly:

Anway, when he was drafted, he said how he compares his game to that of martin havlat, Coincidently when the seasone starts milan will were #9 on the sharks, the same number havlat wears on the sens

just to clarify, we're talking about jere lehtinen, forward for the dallas stars, and not kari lehtonen, goalie prospect for the atlanta thrashers right?

if michalek could score 31 goals and make some spectacular saves in net, i'd be very impressed indeed!
