Whatever happened to Jozef Marha? He was supposed to be one of the next big stars to hit the NHL...he was a hot prospect in Colorado came to Anaheim and played well at times for us. he was on a PPG pace one year and faded away...what happened did he sell his soul to the Devil?I always thought he had good potential.

He is playing in Davos, one of the best Swiss teams. He is arguably the best player in the team right now. Maybe he could come back in the NHL but I think he prefers a big role in Davos than a smaller in the NHL. And he is well paid in Europe too.

I went back home to Switzerland for a couple of weeks and saw him play with Davos against Langnau - he was hands down the best player on the ice. He still has the skills to play in the NHL - I just don't think he has the fire/will to make it back here. He probably makes in the $ 300 k a year just playing around 42 games a season with the added convenience of sleeping in his own bed every single night. Not to bad of a lifestyle.

Sykie how is good old Geneva, I used to live there for nearly 10 years. Nice place but boy is it expensive - kinda like Orange County these days. I saw Petrov when he was playing against Berne. Whith him in the line up I believe that the HC Servette once they play with an healthy squad have a serious shot at making it far in the playoffs / compete for the Cup.

PS I assume that you are HC Servette supporter / not hater

Marha and Reto von Arx were too inconsistent and just plain awful for the Hawks. just another couple of Euros who couldn't make the transition to the NHL (like Dopita). they're better off career-wise playing in Europe.

Nope, I'm not a fan of the Servette... :rolly:

Sometimes I go at the Vernets to see them, but I'm not especially of fan of this team. I bleed Red and Black for the Devils so It's kinda hard for me to root for another team, even in another championship. However, my favorite team in Switzerland is Bern. :D

Geneva stays the same... you know I'm born there and the city wasn't very different 24 years ago... lol. I wonder if Geneva miss you sometime. You are a lucky guy, to live in the USA being a European born guy (euh.. I think...)... rââââh... so lucky !!

I hear you. When I was at a tender/young age I was a big supporter of the HC Biel/Bienne. Unfortunately nowadays they are a shadow of the past.
I hated Bern for many years but as there is no rivalry anymore between the two teams I actually find myself rooting for them now. I love their website www.baeragrabe.ch. It's in German but still a lot of fun. Wish we had something like this for the Ducks/Devils.

Like everything in life it has it's up's and downs. You can't beat the weather though out here in Socal. Today it was 22 degree, clear blue sky - as a matter of fact I just came back from a walk on the beach with my dog. Life is good after all.

Keep checking in, Skye
