Burke's Plan: I've figured it out and it's BRILLIANT!

Here's why we're getting all the goons:

Right from the opening face-off, we do everything we can to provoke other teams into a fight. We'll have three goons in the lineup, which means we can get two fights out of each before someone's ejected. Sounds stupid, you say? Why would we do that, you ask? The answer is simple: Thirty minutes of four-on-four hockey!

Think about it: Half the game at four-on-four, meaning no trap, with no red-line two-line passing. Our forward lines don't look like much conventionally speaking, but at four-on-four, they'll be fantastic. Fedorov, Sykora, Niedermayer, Selanne, McDonald, Lupul... and we'll have a strong, deep defense that can make the outlet pass.

On top of that, which team can answer the bell six times per game? NONE OF THEM! Hell, Detroit doesn't even have one enforcer, let alone three. We'll be putting Shanahan, Fischer or Chelios in the box in exchange for Kip-freaking-Brennan!

Burke is a GENIUS!!!

The Fight Club II without Brad Pitt and Ed Norton

That is Edmonton used to to their opponents. Each team takes a penalty creating a 4 on 4 for two minutes allowing Gretzky,Messier,Kurri and Anderson to crazy on the 4 on 4 with open ice

That's why the NHL changed that rule

Actually there is a better plan (Burkie always has a plan - at least that is what he says- over and over and over). Remember this is "THE NEW NHL" (™ Gary Bettman)

I guess since the NHL has decided to go to a more clutch and grab defensive game now, there is much more need for enforcers and guys who cannot skate well.

I understand that the Ducks enforcers have been excused from regular training camp and are attending the "Hockey Enforcers" tournament in Prince George, BC:

In a brilliant financial move, Burkie has decided that the prize money his boys make will be used to sign more enforcers.

Whoah, déjà vu!
As Yogi Berra would say:

This is like déjà vu all over again.

Looks for lots and lots of Suspensions from us. If this is the case, then the League would fine us, then take away some cap room from us as penalty.

wont happen, fighting majors do not take someone off the ice. so it will still be 5 on 5
