This is from Vancouver Sun via Spector's:
Brad Ziemer reports whatever Mattias Ohlund gets in salary arbitration could determine the fate of gritty Canucks forward Matt Cooke, who remains unsigned. Cooke's agent suggests if Ohlund "wins big" in arbitration, the Canucks simply won't have any room left within their salary cap to re-sign Cooke, which could facilitate trading his client for a draft pick. It's believed Cooke could be seeking close to the same salary ($1.25 million) as the Sedin twins.
Thoughts? Could Burke squeeze in another million or so? Would he go for it? Should he?
