My girlfriend and I have season tickets to the Mooseheads this year. So I'll be seeing Bergfors play a few times this year. On October 27th, January 15th and February 27th.

I'll also be able to get a look at Pierre-Luc Leblond-Letourneau (who sucks anyway but whatever...) when Baie Comeau comes to town on November 26th.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get some video and pics of Bergfors in action as well.

I'd hate to be the poor SOB who has to try to fit that name on the back of a jersey...
<(-:**
Let us know if he fights anyone.

He really does suck though. If he does do anything in a game, it's usually pretty wimpy. Probably wouldn't fight anybody in Halifax because there are so few fighters this year. Saulnier and Cormier would throw down but I doubt he fights with Cormier out of sheer fear.

PLLLLLLLLLLLLL just sucks hardcore.

He did quite a bit last year with Cormier out of the lineup vs Halifax. It all revolved around Vrana from what I remember.

Bergfors, Fog Devils, Devils... two of these three will be awesome this year. Guess which one won't be. :(

edit: answer -> Halifax Mooseheads

Quite optimistic for a guy whose team's best player is an unproven Swede in a North American league.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the Mooseheads will finish 15 points or more ahead of the Fog Devils this season. If I win, you owe me a beer. If I lose...well. That won't happen because I'm always right.

A limb? I'd give you 10 to 1 that the FDs aren't within 30 pts of the Mooseheads. They (FDs) are going to suck royally. But watching Bergfors should be fun.

For that to happen, the Mooseheads would have to be better than they're going to be (which isn't spectacular) or the FDs are going to have to be extremely terrible.

The Foggies will keep up their end of that bargain.

Probably. They didn't do too badly this past weekend. Split a two gamer with the Herd. That second game looked interesting. Yetman is pretty terrible though. Needs some time.

If anyone is interested there is some neat information on both Bergfors and Sundstrom on this old thread http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=91125&page=2&pp=25

Post #46 From Predatore list all these great links.

Kind of cool to see Bergfors was actually playing against pro's this season. When your prospects have already seen Peter Forsberg on the ice, juniors must look like a piece of cake!

from one of the links:

17-year old hockey Swedish hockey phenomenon Nicklas Bergfors scored his first career SEL goal tonight as his team, Södertälje, defeated Peter Forsberg’s MODO 2-1. The fact that Bergfors’ goal eventually became the game winner will make this night even more memorable for the highly skilled and determined winger.

Södertälje’s Slovakian winger Robert Döme opened up the scoring in the first period. 2.52 into the second period it was time for Bergfors’ biggest highlight of his career so far. From the right corner speedy American forward Chris Ferraro dumped the puck towards Mikael Zajkowski in MODO's net, Bergfors picked up the puck just in front of Zajkowski and failed to put it past him, but managed to score on his own rebound and made it 2-0 Södertälje.

"This is a game I will remember for the rest of my life," Nicklas Bergfors said to the Swedish News Bureau TT after the game.

In the third period MODO closed the gap somewhat after a goal by talented center Alexander Steen, but MODO never came closer than that and Södertälje won the game 2-1. Bergfors has scored his first, but certainly not his last goal in the SEL.

One good thing is that he was the only euro to show up at the draft.

That has to say somethin about his character.

Although he needs to lose that Duran Duran haircut.
