I think Madden will be one of the three.

Elias, Mogilny for sure

I would also use Freeze, Langs, and Gionta pretty regularly... but I voted for Freeze

Elias, Mogilny, Suglobov

You are aware of Suglobov's record in shootouts so far, right?

I am skeptical that Suglobov will be with the Devils at the beginning of the year. But if he is up, I would pick him in a heartbeat.

Here's part of a post by ratsgirl (http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=133655&highlight=shootout) dated March 10, 2005,
McAmmond: 4/10 (went 4 for 4 in his first four attempts; hasn't converted since Binghamton on November 5th)
Parise: 3/9
Suglobov: 0/8 (and on almost all of them he actually missed the net)
Pihlman: 2/6
Johansson: 1/3
Khomutov: 1/3
Murphy: 1/1
Nittel: 0/1
Foster: 0/1
Voros: 0/1
Rheaume: 0/1

Fully.

He has tremendous ability and puckhandling skills and should not be declared inept when it comes to the shootout just because he missed on 8 attempts. After all, McAmmond missed 6 straight, and was still the Rats best option, so I think you need a little more than that.

Tuomas Pihlman had a better conversion rate than Suglobov, so I would absolutely call him inept. And he was facing AHL goalies like Justin Eddy, Cody Rudkowsky and Karl Goehring. But hey, maybe he will do better in the NHL against Robert Esche, Rick DiPietro and Jose Theodore. I guess stranger things have happened.

But I wouldn't put any money on it.

I only selected Other. Personally, the Devils in the shootout should ALWAYS be the ones who are hot. I don't see the point in setting one group in stone; if Pandolfo is lighting up the lamp as of late, by all means, he should shoot.
