Any interest ?

After back-to-back championships, I am formally announcing my retirement from the NJ Yahoo hockey league. Best of luck to this years crew.

I'll send along the trophy when my dog finishes his supper. He is very protective over his playtoys.

with goaltending of that caliber at a premium, id say hes 1st (hes more than likely #1 in my rankings right now ;) )

Wait, your first pick wouldn't be one of the elite and most consistent goaltenders in the modern NHL? Who would be your first pick then? Who?

In fantasy leagues you pick players that are going to get the most fantasy points.
There's 6 offensive catagories( 4 goalie), so you can't go wrong selecting one of the top scorers first.
I'd pick brodeur first because I won't root against him for the sake of this league.

I just realized ... I have a prior engagement on draft night. Same problem as HBK.

I am hereby withdrawing my team from the league, so there is one more 'open' seat for another participant. I'd rather my seat taken by someone who particpates from wire to wire than have me taking a spot and missing the draft. Besides, autopicked teams usually suck. :p

If, by Saturday morning, nobody has taken the seat and the league needs to get back to an even number of participants, I'll re-sign-up so I don't cause the draft to get cancelled.

Here's another fantasy hockey secret. Don't ever draft Curtis Joseph the year he gets relegated to prime bench warming duty behind Dominek Hasek and spends a little recovery time in the minors.

Another tip.
Don't laugh at a guy's draft pick with a post.
Laugh inside....because he may continue to make stupid picks, leaving the better players for you.

Anyone in this league should read the posts and commissioners notes.

Wondered what was happening there. I vote he gets all his waived players back if its true someone screwed with his team. Thats the fair thing to do. Looked like he was giving up on the season and shutting it all down though.

I think all the players should be placed back on his team, and the Commish should oversee his transactions from now on.

I hope no one puts in wavier claims for his players... because it sounds like the Commish cant put the players back until they clear waivers!

I agree. If it happens again, though, all bets are off.

I had somebody mess with my football team once. I left my computer at work on and a friend waived Carson Palmer and inserted Jessie Palmer ( the batchelor). I noticed too late to save my season.
This stuff happens, so I'm cutting him some slack, as long as he prevenets it from happening again.

But it's unfair to the owner who accidently picks up one of these waived players , to tell him that he has to give the player back.
That owner loses his waiver position, which could be a big disadvantage.

I found out that I can adjust the waiver wire.
only two owners picked up players. And one is giving them back.
The other will be giving them back, whether he knows it or not, in the best interest of the league.
This commish **** sucks when you actually have to do something !

I just found out today so the guys were removed but now my waiver position is screwed and I didn't even get all the players I dropped back. :madfire:

I can't get help from people as to what the waiver position should be. I can adjust if I know what it should be.
If I get time at work, I'll re-enact the waiver position from day one. BUT that's a lot of *** work !!! any ideas ?

I went back to the beginning and recreated all waiver moves/positions.
What is on the site now is as accurate as I can get it.

I have Kari on another fantasy team. We both got exactly six saves from a single period of hockey before the next big thing quickly became a giant question mark.
