I think over the CBA really sured up the Goaltending issues we may have had in the future when Brodeur retires. We only had Clemmensen, Ahonen and Smith in the system going into the lockout.
First he picked up Josh Disher late in the draft, a goaltender who has only improved in hi two OHL seasons and has been MVP both years. Then this year he drafted Jeff Frazee who has number 1 writen on him and has set records at the USA under 18 development program while winning the under 18 with USA. Then we signed Frank Doyle who was UOM's best goaltender in a long time, one rookie of the year in the ECHL and has showed AHL potential at worst. To finish off the summer we gave talented but crazy goaltender Dustin Slade to a tryout contract this fall.
NHL:
Brodeur
Ahonen
AHL:
Clemmensen
Doyle
CHL:
Slade
Disher
NCAA:
Frazee
Smith
I think our overall depth is looking much better then it did going into the CBA lockout.
