Who would our shooters be?

When it comes down to the shootout which five do you go with ? first being your best man.
Elias
Friesan
gomez
langenbrunner
Parise?? (experience with it in Albany)

The NHL's shootout is a three-man shootout, not five.

Wasn't Parise's conversion rate below the AHL average?

Kozlov may be a liability at even strength, but he's an ideal man for a shootout.

I'd ice:
1. Elias
2. Kozlov
3. Friesen (or whoever's got the hot hand).

I realize it is only a three man but when of if it goes to sudden death I doubt they can use the same shooters or can they?

I think they have to. But we'll have to wait for the official ruylebook to be sure. In the AHL, you could only reuse your named shootout players, though you could change the order. Don't know if they'd have a different player-reuse criteria with the NHL's 3-man format.

Quite some time ago on the general hockey board, I stated that the shootout is a two-way thing. That is to say that a goaltender is involved, and the Devils have the best.
