How many retirements is Steve Thomas going to forgo? Well apparently, the Leafs are trying to woo him back for one last kick in the can for league min salary. To be honest, its a wrong fit. Stumpy's old and he needs some young bodies in the lineup. Look at his productivity go down in Detroit. Which brings me to my next point. Stumpy would be a great fit for us. We need some vet experience and a clutch performer on the third line. Burke, lets make it happen.

He would be a nice fit in Anaheim...but I think he will either be a Maple Leaf or retire.

Stumpy might be old but you can't deny the guy is clutch. There's no one on our team right now who can score the timely goal when we need it. Beside, our third line needs an anchor, much like what he brought the Ducks in 03.

His family is in Toronto, and he's not going to play any great distance from there. Given the hellacious effort he put in for us, I wish him only the best wherever he goes. Heck of a player.

Ahhhhhhhh....Stumpy was great for the Ducks in his day. But can we turn the page on the Ducks Stanley Cup run, and build a new team.

Stumpy did a great job with us, but there is nothing in his career that shows that he would bring any of that to the table again. Especially at his age.
Had a great run with us when he was with us, but we can find someone who could do more for us than him.

hopefully he signs with a crappy team like buffalo, the ducks get hot and make a run at the playoffs and we trade a 7th rd pick and he scores 10 goals?
I think he'd be good for getzlaf but where he lives prevented him from coming back before.
Id like him back, he was the best vet forward presence we've ever had on this team.
