I Saw Mike Leclerc Today

I was at Starbucks in Laguna Beach today around 5:15 p.m and saw Mike and his wife walking around each pushing a baby stroller. As I walked out Mike and his wife were standing at the signal, waiting to cross and I walked basically right passed the guy. I knew it was him as I walked out of Starbucks and looked right at him. I don't think he noticed that I recognized him though.

I planned on saying hi to him and wishing him good luck with the season, but for what ever reason I did not. I guess I had about 5-7 seconds to do this without having to turn around after passing him.

Anyway, I was surprised with Mike because he is not a big guy. He might have decent height, but he looked very thin. He might be pushing 200 pounds. I thought he would be more muscular, but he wasn't. I noticed his tattoo on his left arm. It was the Jesse James symbal and something else.

Lastly, although he was with his wife, I could not tell you what see looked like. she had blonde hair and was about 5-10. So I can't tell you if she was hot or not because I was looking at Mike. I was excited to see a player.

Although they were walking on a busy side-street no one stopped him as I watched them walk away.

I thought you guys would like this. ( I saw him on PCH and Goldenrod st in Laguna)

Leclerc hit on a friend of mine at either Dux in Tux or Casino Night, can't remember which. This was before he was married.

(My only Leclerc anecdote)

Sorry to inject hockey talk into this ( ;) ), but any thoughts on how Mike's going to do this year? He was never really healthy in 03/04 (or 02/03, for that matter), but it would be nice with the time he's had off to see him come back at 100% and play at the level he showed in 01/02, when he scored 20 goals and 44 points in 82 games, and was a physical presence.

I would hope for the same from him this season. Especially since he will hit the UFA market after this season. He wants to have a big year and has plenty of time to get healthy.
