Brendan Witt?

He has requested a trade from the Capitals to a contender. And it's now been reported that "Three Canadian teams and at least one in the United States have made preliminary inquiries about Caps defenseman Brendan Witt, 30, who has asked to be traded."

Would you like to see Burke pull the trigger on a deal to get him here? Possibly sending Sykora in the other way? And there would probably be a pick or other minor players going both ways.

Coming from Washington, I would think he would consider anybody a contender

Besides Philadelphia... really, who can you say is a 100% sure contender?

Having said that, even though Witt is well respeted, isn't he older than salei? Rather keep rusty than make a move for witt.
