Maybe a sticky can be created with a list of all prospects with a link to their teams site.

Suggestion....

Put it in the FAQ thread - if you post a player, he's yours to maintain (do it by editing the post whenever necessary). Then either PB or I can go to the 1st post of the thread and give a link to each player who's listed.

Just my $.02 - that's what I envisioned doing a while back when setting the FAQ thread up, having all that info in one central place. If someone else has a better idea I'm game.

I'll just keep editing my original post in this thread with new links and then we can figure out what to do.

Irish Blues

that will work - I'll set up a link from the FAQ to this thread later.

Exec... why don't you just post the link straight to the stats instead of the team..that's what people really care about.

Demitri Semin: http://www.spartak.ru/sezon23/statist1.htm (he's #24)

Either way is fine by me. I like to see the homepage and whether there's any news and it's pretty easy to find the stats from there.

It's great when you make the name the link. I don't know how to do that.

Often times the stats are actually find on the league site rather than the team site. That's why I figured it would be easier to link to the stats.

For Blues NCAA prospects stats, I'd highly recommend

The College Hockey Stats Site (http://www.collegehockeystats.com). You can view the players stats individually, by team, by conference and in the nation. It also lists what NHL team each player on each roster is a prospect of. It's really an excellent stats source.

I concur. I go to that site quite often. One criticism is that stats from the CCHA aren't on it, but that league has an excellent website of it's own at:

http://www.ccha.com

Besides, the Blues don't have any prospects in the CCHA right now, anyway.

You might enjoy reading more about your moncton Wildcats prospects on this site
http://unofficialcats.proboards17.com/index.cgi?board=Hockey

You will find some good post on your players from the fans who watch the games....You will have to pick and choose which you read as we are sometime invaded by puckbunnies....but there are some very good posters with lots of good opinions and game recaps. .....I hope you enjoy.

Tonight the fans had nothing but praise for Alexei Shkotov's play....

Yes,I seen him play and he didn't disappoint me...very skilled player. He lived up to everything I heard and read about him...Exciting to watch and was dangerous every time he was on the ice...He has tremendous speed and changes direction with such quickness and still holds on to the puck...Passes very well and receives them just as well...Due to size gets knocked around a bit...He does things with the puck that I have never seen before at this level....He definetly has made the Moncton Wildcats a whole lot better....I'm hoping to see him play with Zakharov tonight...I expect that they will play well together.

I noticed on that board people were hoping that Zakharov was on the way out... is the other Euro really better than Zakharov? I'd find that surprising becuase Zakharov looked better than Shkotov in Blues camp.

Yes,it seems that way...I have mixed feelings on which one will go.Karsums has become a fan favorite with his play and toughness and he is only 17 and the Cats get to keep him for another 2 years...as far as I'm concerned Zakharov has not yet showed the fans what he can do....I think if he plays with Shkotov that will come very quickly...in fairness to Zakharov he was getting use to his linemates and they were beginnig to gel....with the arrival of Shkotov the lines have changed somewhat...I think they will compliment one another very well...Karsums and Zakharov play 2 different styles and so far Karsums's style has been more eye catching...No,I don't think Karsums is better than Zakharov.

Just a note... the QMJHL web site has easily the best stats package of the three major junior leagues, by a long shot.

The OHL and WHL stats packages are miles behind. Whoever does the stats package for the "Q" should be doing it for all of the major junor leagues, IMO.

I like the stats package on the USHL web site, and the CCHA and Hockey East web sites also. The WCHA web site, on the other hand, blows hard, and the ECAC basically uses the stats package at http://www.collegehockeystats.com, which is the one I always use (degroat, I haven't looked at USCHO lately, but the last time I did, I noticed that their stats package did not include penalty minutes).

I caught the Wisconsin/Quinnipiac game tonight (and last night as well). If there was one game that was a must-see as far as MacMurchy goes, tonight's was it. He was absolutely phenomenal tonight. He had a hand in all 4 of Wisconsin's goals this evening.

If you want to read more about tonight's game and my analysis on MacMurchy's play, please check out my 10/25 Game Notes (http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?postid=371651).

This is what's in the FAQ thread to link to Nissinen's stats (http://www.sm-liiga.fi/tilasto.asp?otsake1=Kausi+2003%2D2004+runkosarja&sarja=1124&maingroup=1&group=16&parm=1)

Scroll down... "kaikki maalivahdit" means "all goaltenders," and Nissinen's currently ranked 27th of 28 (as of 8:55 PM CST 11-12-03).

on MacMurchy and Backes. Saw what there was of the Wisconsin/Minnesota State game earlier tonight. MacMurchy had another great night (this kid just keeps getting better and better!). I also saw Backes for the first time this season as well. Other than the fact that he's very good with the puck and possesses a wicked shot not much else stood out. He did make a great defensive play that helped setup MSU's goal though. If you want to read all about the game, please check out my Game Notes (12/12):Wisconsin vs. Minnesota State-Mankato (http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?postid=577949) over on the NCAA board.
