Based on what you've seen through training camp:
What spot he could filled?
Wil he gets some PP or PK time?

Right now he won't get anything on the big club. He was sent down to the AHL. He was struggling at camp and I guess the brass thought it'd be better for him to get used to NA hockey and ice at the "A" level.

They were hoping he would come to camp and push for the #6 d-man spot, with some PP time. Not that they would've given him the spot, but I think they thought he was close.

I think the Bolts deep down wanted to give him some time in the AHL, but from the early goings of camp, it was clear he wasn't as close as they thought.

He was a turnover machine during the scrimmages, and the most surprising thing was that he didn't impress enough to even get one exhibition game. In fact, another Bolt prospect Gerard Dicaire played himself above Holmqvist in the depth chart.

Was sent to Hamilton of the AHL, and I suspect he will be there all season. The Bolts might call-up Dicaire for a cup of coffee sometime during the season, but Holmqvist gets the year to develop in the minors.

By the way, Holmqvist was playing for the Hamilton Bulldogs yesterday in their third pre-season game. He scored on a nice, low shot from the blue line in a 5-4 overtime loss. Komisarek and Hainsey both being at the Canadiens training camp, head coach Doug Jarvis gave Andreas lots of ice time in all kinds of situations.

I hope for you guys his journey in Hamilton helps him progressing and becoming a solid defenseman in the big league.

Great news! He's probably settling down by now and feeling a little more comfortable.
