Having only given up one goal in the pre-season and being generally steady is he teh man..?

Sauve has lloked very good aswell....

Is it safe to say that Aebischer is the starter unless they make a trade...or will Sauve and Aebi share time like Rolosn and Ferenandez...

AS far as I am concerned Aebi is the more experienced and thus should get teh nod...What do you home town fans think...What have you seen thus far eventhough it's only pre-season....

Aebischer looks exceptional so far. I believe that will continue throughout the regular season. However, you simply do not know what kind of goaltender you have until the playoffs. For that reason the media, fans and everyone else will question Abby until he shows he can win during the playoffs. So it's going to be a long season of people questioning him, of fans going overboard saying he's the answer, of fans saying he has to go because he's been mediocre etc... Basically the whole spectrum of opinions will be voiced in regards to Abby. In the end none of us really know what Abby can accomplish as a goaltender until we see him at center stage in the playoffs. He can be fantastic during the regular season and crash in the playoffs, that has been demonstrated by other goaltenders in the league on numerous occasions. He can be mediocre during the regular season and brilliant in the playoffs. We've also seen this with other goaltenders in the NHL before. So, there will be a lot of threds like this throughout the season but the simple yet unsatisfying answer simply is, "we have to wait and see". The only thing that can change this is if Abby performs poorly in the first half of the season. That will lead to Sauve getting the chance or Abby being traded, if not both.

As of now, they only have a great preseason goalie....wait til about 20 games into the season before getting the rings sized just yet....
