I just have a small rant...
The guys who do the CBJ Web site are morons. Go to the multimedia section, and at the bottom of the page you'll see pictures from games. The most recent one is labeled "Columbus is averaging 23.5 shots against with a 1.92 GAA in the two preseason games played by Darryl Sydor." It's a good picture of a Blue Jacket getting bodychecked or bodychecking the Rangers' Chris Simon.
Sadly, the Jacket in the picture isn't Daryl Sydor. Yes, Sydor is #5, but it's pretty obvious that there's another number alongside that 5 on the guy's sleeve. The player is #50 Ben Knopp.
Now, I realize this might be a simple mistake, but to me it seems idiotic that their promotions people wouldn't take the time to even verify the identity of players in photos. It also points to a larger problem involving editing...
A bunch of videos on the site have completely messed up audio that isn't in sync with the video and is nearly unintelligable. You would think they have an overseeing editor to make sure the stuff they put up is suitable for publication.
Sorry about the rant. The mislabeling of the picture was the straw that broke the camel's back for me, I guess.
