How about not being able to watch any NHL games even though a dozen are on a night? Just imagine how it felt for me not to be able to watch the NHL because not even the digital satellite companies in this country provide anything more than the all-star game and a few of the final games. The hockey world should wake up and do what the MLB has done: provide full web-based coverage of games for a price. Macman 04-29-2005, 08:20 AM I live in France. If they had Canada/Switerland at the same time as Russia/USA, they'd show the Canada game(And probably won't tape delay the other one for later). Like we can't all figure out beforehand Canada will win by at least 8 goals. I'd really like to see Russia in a preliminary game, but guess what, their schedules seem to conflict with Canadas. So, instead, I'll be watching 8 games of Canada playing whoever. Sure, Canada/Czech or Sweden will be at least a good game. But do I really need to see them sit out their stars and go globetrotters on Austria? katodelder 04-29-2005, 11:46 AM horrible! piffsaku 04-29-2005, 02:07 PM I hope the Bandwidth is good by Media Zone. NHL wake up!!!!! john g 04-30-2005, 10:26 AM The video is bad, audio is great -- the announcers are Austrian. I am just waiting for "Get to da choppa" Belanger25 04-30-2005, 11:20 AM Yeah the Video isn't great and the announcer is obviously not very good at English. Then again neither am I. The download will probably be better quality. I'm watching it on my TV and it's still not that great visually. FLYLine24 04-30-2005, 11:33 AM Yea..the announcer is barely saying anything...repeating himself a lot as well. FLYLine24 04-30-2005, 12:31 PM The live feed isnt that great (its still ok) but the replays looks really good. 2 bad the announcer doesn't know hockey....it was just a 2 on 2 and he said, "Looks like another breakaway." lol Sotnos 04-30-2005, 12:43 PM Yeah the Video isn't great and the announcer is obviously not very good at English. I disagree totally, his English is very clear. The picture is grainy and dark-ish, but it's completely watchable, and I only got a few short freezeups at the end. Money well spent so far for me. :) FLYLine24 04-30-2005, 12:49 PM I disagree totally, his English is very clear. I thought the announcer for the Canadian game really didn't know his stuff.... That's the game I was watching. I had no problem understanding him whatsoever. Nothing he said stood out to me as being blatantly wrong, but I generally don't pay a whole lot of attention to commentators unless they're discussing a replay or something, and I agreed with his analysis on just about all of the replays. I thought he was very professional and he sounded to me like he's a regular PBP guy for hockey. Anyway, it's HOCKEY and I actually get to SEE IT! I see nothing to complain about. Easy enough to turn the sound off if it bothers you. It could be worse, Canadians have to listen to Mcguire, lol. :) john g 04-30-2005, 01:41 PM still a bargain for 56 games though thats for sure -- going to try my gaming machine for this afternoon's games. watched this mornings on my laptop and it was a little grainy, but still fantastic (to be able to watch hockey) VanIslander 04-30-2005, 01:44 PM still a bargain for 56 games though thats for sure Easily ! Sorry for breaking the rules and posting something in French. Your problem is Canada the country or TSN because in Quebec you have the choice of watching the English TSN or the French RDS although IMO RDS is so much worse than TSN. RDS' commentators are as biased as TSN if not more. Not only do they exagerrate Quebecers performances but their data is so often incorrect. What comes out of their mouth are 40 % wrong. P.S. French television simply sucks. All French can do good are documentaries and TV news magazines. CH Wizard* 05-01-2005, 04:29 PM You guys can download the games, right? On one of my computers it's worked fine, on the other one, I've gotten nothing but error messages about the certificates (the verification stuff). Updated WMP, etc. The suggested fix is to reinstall Windows, which is not going to happen. :shakehead -------------- On a side note, apparently some of you still don't get it, judging from the posts I've deleted. Stop asking people to download these games and upload them somewhere or in any other way give or sell them to you. It's illegal, and you need to stop asking about it here. bleedgreen 05-04-2005, 06:30 PM im the one who had problems earlier - i got it straightened out and everything works fine. it was a billing error that was likely as much my fault as theirs. ive watched a bunch of games, and once you get used to the euro commentators killing the language its great. i find the streaming games to be a little patchy to watch - in full screen you can barely follow the puck sometimes...it isnt hdtv by any stretch. i found the best way to watch was to download the completed game, then watch. the quality is much better, and its easier to jump aound in the game. its a worth investment imo, especially this year. depending on how exciting the nhl is next year, i may get it again. the wjc's like this would awesome - i would get that in a heartbeat...or even some junior games in canada. missK 05-05-2005, 03:03 AM FYI - I just found this!!
