He didn't play yesterday against the Rag$, so he should be playing in two of the next three games (9/25 against Rag$ and 9-26 & 9/28 against the Pens).

Can he be sent to Syracuse for 10 Games instead of Columbus?

No.

CHL players under age 20 are not eligible to play in the AHL.

How did he play in the 5-5 tie...?

Judging by the scoresheet, pretty average. I think he played with Pronger, though, so he didn't get any help in that regard. I think he'll be playing on Sunday for maybe his last chance to impress.

I was Surprised to see Fritche tossin' em with DeVries the other night, from the short highlite I saw, it looked like he was holding his own.

I looked at the scoresheet from last night and saw that Danny got 13 mintues of ice time, with an E +/-.

I'm going to the game on Friday against the Blues - hopefully he will still be with the big club then. This will also be my first chance to see all the new additions to the team.

The dispatch said today that he was playing on the fourth line pairing with David Ling and Jody Shelly at practices. They hinted that this might indicate he will stay with the club for a little longer than most expected, hopefully at least the 9 game max ala Klesla.

I think you guys struck it rich with this guy in the second round. He is exactly the type of hard nosed forward with skill that every team needs.

The paper this morning had an article on him. Said that they are working on a contract now. If nothing by Tuesday, he's cut. If he signs, then it could be more interesting.

that tells me they want him for "at least" the 9 game tryout

His line coughed up the winning goal tonite, it was just a preseason, but you can bet MacLean looked at that in the same light as his goals, assists and his battling. I still think the kid has looked great from the camp games i went to, and I still have a lot of stock in his production. Of course you can say he was playing on the fourth line against the number line of STL, (Demitra, Raycroft, Tkachuk) and he was playing with Grand-Pierre and Shelley...

thats exactly what you can say :) now i didnt see it, but unless he was directly at fault you cant point the blame at him cause he was on the ice at the same time as the game winner. are you gonna cut all the other guys who were on the ice for the other 2 goals ;) to me, if it comes down for example, to us keeping him or jlgp, i would rather have fritzche

I thought Fritsche played pretty well last night all told. I'm pretty excited about the energy he brings to the ice.

One one hand you have Pronger, who's experienced, steady, dependable and fairly sound defensively ... but he is what he is at this point in his career (which is pretty much a reserve forward). On the other hand you have Fritsche, who is inexperienced, but brings speed, energy, better instincts for the game and has great upside .... but that inexperience can cost you.

Not at all would I blame the kid, I'd rather have Fritsche then JLGP at forward anyday too, But I just think MacLean is going to see more in that then we would. Besides I think team defense in general is to blame for st. louis running all over us in the second period. Dan Fritsche is one of the biggest surprises of any NHL camp this year, I like the kid's game and I think he will be a top 9 forward very soon.
