Ill do it in terms of the Prospects...

10. Pettinger starts the season in DC but eventually heads back to Portland...and falls down alot

9. Alex Riazantsev has a great season setting up Ovechkin from the blue line

8. Havel does nothing and still makes that mean face

7. Fussey scores 20+ in Portland

6. Fehr scores 35+ in Brandon

5. Yonkman gets hurt

4. Gordon starts the season in DC.

3. I know he's not a "prospect" anymore...But Boumedienne puts up over 30 points and take a huge offensive burden off Gonchars back.

2. Eminger establishes himself in the NHL...plays 20-25 minutes a night.

1. Semin makes a run at the Calder Throphy playing with Jagr

10. Semin makes the team and plays on a young guns 4th line.

9. Gordon makes the team and plays on the same young guns 4th line
with Brian Sutherby.

8. Cassidy will be fired if the team is not at .500 after 15 games.

7. The Caps will lose one asset to waivers either at the waiver draft or
after a roster move forced by activating a player from Injuried Reserve.

6. Gonchar's point production will drop by 15 pts while being forced to be the primary defensive defenseman when he is on the ice.

5. Cassidy's experiment of Bondra on the checking line will last 5 games before Grier returns.

4. Gruden beats out Kwiatkowski for the spot next to Doig and will play more of the first 10 games.

3. Max Ouellet will play 5 NHL games this year.

Disagree w/ point 9, Why Is Riazantsev still in Russia instead of Piney Orchard or the Portland Ice Arena or the CCCC, so how can that be possible? :)

10) Eminger plays a full season and proves that he is a legit top 4 guy who's going to get a lot better.

9) Sutherby hits 40 points.

8) Gordon plays the entire season in Washington in almost the exact capacity as Suts last season.

7) Semin is a finalist for the Calder.

6) Gonchar has a monster season pointwise.

5) Bondra scores 40, with 15+ on the PP.

4) Jagr, finally, returns to form 100+ points.

3) Witt, able to play with a clear head finally (none of it seems to be his fault now), is a rock on the blue line.

2) Zubrus finally scores 20 goals.

1) The Caps win the division, although they are pushed very very hard by Atlanta.


Some of these really aren't predictions, dreams rather. But many are with the realm of reality.
