SmokinMirrors 09-24-2003, 11:25 AM He was recently acquired by Kingston from Owen Sound for a conditional pick. Any info on him would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Honestly.............watched him play between 25-30 league/playoff games last year as well as Attack training camp this year. And I have to say, "I have NO idea what Kingston is thinking"!! I read somewhere, that he's part of the future. Think Richard Power on offense, I'm serious here. Think about this. Brendan wasn't even close to making the Attack sqaud this year, who so desperately need but lack 1986 born players. If he was gonna amount to a Major Jr Player of some talent, I'd suspect GM MIke Futa would have held on to him. Coming out of the draft, Brendan was highly touted by the Attacks scouting department. As it turns out, the head Scout has since been fired, and Duncan's draft year will go down as Owen Sound's worst draft ever. The hype on Duncan brought me out to his Jr B games last year. Brendan almost always appeard extremely timid, losing almost every battle that encountered him along the boards. Never engaging combat or aggression. His acceleration was quick for a big guy, BUT you only saw that chasing a loose puck or chasing down a smaller player. If the players were big, his acceleration was slow, and that's when his timid look came in. As anyone, I only hope him the best, I really do. But I wouldn't get too awfully excited about him. fan75 09-24-2003, 12:02 PM I read somewhere, that he's part of the future. Yeah, that was Mav in the Kingston Whig-Standard. He lumped Duncan in with Hughes and Rizzi when he made that remark. Anyway, thanks for the insight. | ||
