If that is in fact it, I like. Has sort of a Florida-esque naustalgic look about it.

I don't think that's it, because in an interview in newsday, he (Vanderbeek) said it doesn't look like any other NHL arena......and that looks like a NHL arena that I've seen before.

Yup, I'm a draftsman in Hackensack and the plan is to renovate the whole area. These plans have been around for a while and look great. It really changed my mind about the new arena location.

Where those big screen TV's on the front of the building??

If it is its a good idea b/c alot of people like the idea of going to the areana nd watching it in the parking lot on a projector. Tail gate parties i guess there called. Good way to develope a real fan following. Everyone loves a good party and will go even if they like hockey or not.

This is the area Hoboken offered them a few years back. Though traffic would have been a pain, the arena would have been on the waterfront, with PATH (from NY and NJ), NJ Transit buses, NJ Transit trains, ferry to/from NYC, and the NJ Light Rail system (Bayonne to Weehauken.. mispelt that one) all meeting at the arena.

The new arena looks spiffy. It kind-of looks like the CAA on the inside, which is even better since the CAA is considered to have one of the best vantage points in the entire league.

But what's this I read from the inside picture? Lou Lamoriello is listed as CEO...I thought he was just the Best Damn General Manager In the NHL?

I heard the nets were thinking of moving to Brooklyn (not sure how valid it is), so I dont think so.

Bruce Ratner really, really, REALLY wants the team to be in Brooklyn before the decade's up. It's a safe bet that the Nets will no longer be in NJ.
