Kevin Forbes 04-07-2005, 06:10 PM As some of you may know, I applied to the University of King's College here in Halifax to take Journalism next year. They called me today and I got accepted. I'll be receiving a package in the mail sometime soon and they'll be making scholarship offers within the next week or so.
Anyway, I'm super excited and yeah, HF had a big hand in making me decide to pursue journalism. So....thanks!

Kevin Forbes 04-07-2005, 10:45 PM I've just completed a two year college diploma in Computer Programming (actually I'm on my work internship now). So I'm not quite a mature student, but I'm not just out of high school either.
My time at college let me realise where my true path lay, and although I don't regret the computer programming, it definitely isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life.
MightyAdam 04-07-2005, 11:22 PM I am impressed. I always thought you were much older...like in your 50's or something. I thought you had been writing for a while, like your whole life. I think one day I will see your name in some newspaper, not sure which one though...maybe the orange country register or the New York Times or something. Oh, Kevin's in his 50s. He spent most of his adult life in a Red Chinese Prison (Seinfeld anyone?), and after getting out, well, decided to get some degrees. Still impressive though. :sarcasm: :biglaugh:
