joel stepp

do you guys know who joel stepp is.

He is an average player...whom Anaheim must think can do more than he has done in the first two years (this year being his 2nd yr.) of his contract because they added him to the clear day roster over Igor Pohanka. but that is just my opinion :D
I believe he still has one more year to go on his contract. On a personal note he is a very nice guy! Will he be able to make a difference in our run for the play-offs only time will tell.

Stepp is from Torquay, Saskatchewan, a community of about 200 people in southeast Saskatchewan. Was a key member of the Red Deer Rebels Memorial Cup championship team in 2001. Hasn't always put up big numbers, but he's always stepped his play up in the playoffs. Was terrific in 2001 MC, 2002 WHL playoffs. Hasn't been able to put up numbers in the minors, but has enough grit and hockey sense that he could be a respectable third or fourth liner.

I think he was drafted as defensive forward. I see him being Dan Bylsma with better skills, but max 15-20 points a season in the NHL. Should be a good 4th liner/shutdown player who kills penalties...
