The most important game of the season so far for Cincy!!!

If the Ducks can go on the road and beat a team they are tied in the standings with then they deserve a playoff spot.

Bryz makes a penalty shot save.
He's 3 for 3 on penalty shot saves this year.

Cincy is now in 5th place in their division, 2 points behind Houston and tied for points with Grand Rapids but Grand Rapids has 1 more win. They still have a game in hand on Houston but they can't afford many more losses if they are to make the playoffs(especially against Houston and Grand Rapids!)

not that it would made a difference but i notice since this team decided to send down their enforcer the team has been playing pretty bad. They are the only team without an enforcer.
On a side Bryz has been a huge dissapointment and a possible bust

Well lets see what he can do with a full season backing up Giguere in the NHL, then we can decide if he is a bust.

That said, the Ducks need to restock their system with goalies in the next draft. I'd use 2 of the 9 picks on goalies, though I'd prefer not to pick one in the first round.

tough loss on the road...

good news is the Ducks have 6 home games remaining out of their final 10 games.

It's going to be a very interesting final 10 games. 1 more vs. Houston and 2 more against Grand Rapids, including the season finale.

Another positive note:

Lupul has scored in 4 consecutive games.

Anyone know exactly what happened in the O'Brien incident today? Besides what we can see from the box score?

Cincinnati - Shane OBrien - (Charging Goaltender Major), 5 min, 20:00
Cincinnati - Shane OBrien - (Charging Goaltender Game Misconduct) (47(c)), 10 min, 20:00

That puts him over 300 pims for this season.

at the end of the 2nd he 'ran' into the goalie...and the goalie 'rolled around on the ice'
The anouncer said the goalie MAY have been playing it up and made a reference to the Refs name... Dumas

The whole game the ref was calling things strange is what the anouncer said...for and against the Ducks...

I say its a bogus call...but hey it did pad Shane's PIMs
