SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Gulls announced Monday that center Joel Stepp has been recalled to the American Hockey League’s Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.

Stepp appeared in 12 games for the Gulls, notching seven points (all goals) and 10 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11-inch, 190-pound native of Rochester, Minn. was assigned to San Diego on March 2. In 53 games for Cincinnati this season, Stepp posted 11 points (3g, 8a) and 21 penalty minutes.

I guess Joel Perrault will be out a bit if Stepp has been recalled...

well for the playoff roster, they wanted Stepp in and Pohanka out...however, since there's no mention of Pohanka headed the other way....maybe Perrault is out...

during one of the game broadcasts around the time the roster was announced...
it was said that Stepp would remain in SD unless someone was injured and he was needed...
while Pohonka was left off but he was to stay in Cincinnati and practice with the team and he made a player apperance with some of the other guys on the team last week ...

I think they say Igor can't play unless two players are injured. But he is here in cincinnati and practices with the team. He even traveled to Cleveland with the team last week. So depending on whom else would be injured on the team Igor could be next in line to be activated. Malec still out with a concussion...Joel P left the game on Saturday and didn't return. So Joel Stepp has to be put on the roster before they can use Igor because his name doesn't appear on the clear day roster.
