Sabrebat 03-24-2005, 10:20 AM Just Announced on Rogers TV - The new QMJHL team for Saint John will be named the Sea Dogs. The colours are Black, Blue and Silver.
The logo is a black, angry looking seal. Looks to be diving down and to the left. You can see one flipper as it breaks through a white flame/water substance.
Looks ok I guess. Curious to see what St. John's comes up with for the Fog Devils.

Best logos of the Q are Rimouski, Ramparts and Shawinigan IMO.

I believe they released another statement saying they would wait until the Baby Leafs finished up their season, before announcing any logos or colours.

I think the AHL Saint John Flame logo was better than the Sea Dog logo, but it's a real good one just the same. Word around the city is positive on this one.

Yeah you bet - 2 years since we lost the Flames, the city is primed to support this team. And while the Clader Cup win in 2001 was the team's crowning glory, it was earlier on when there were rivals in Moncton, Fredericton, PEI, Cape Breton and St. John's that it was most intense from a fan perspective. And now, we will have that again - just subtract Freddy and add Bathurst and Halifax. It's gonna be fun! :jump:

Oh yes... the AHL days are now gone in the Atlantic area... but the junior hockey landscape ought to be good as ever... gonna be great to see both Saint John and St. John's play in the junior league.. who knows, in a few years, Saint John could win a QMJHL title..and a Memorial Cup?? That would be wild for sure... however, I wonder will the Sea Dogs games be shown on a Saint John television station?? IF so, which channel?? I hoping for Global Saint John, which I have on my satellite dish.. do let me know if that will happen..
