I almost forgot that Cincy had a rare Monday night game this week.
Only AHL game tonight.
Huge game as Cincy can either put some distance between them and 4th place Houston or allow Houston to tie them for 3rd place.
Milwaukee 64 39 18 3 4 85
Chicago 65 39 19 5 2 85
Cincinnati 64 33 26 1 4 71
Houston 62 30 23 6 3 69
Grand Rapids 62 31 28 2 1 65
top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs!!

Chistov could have had a first period hat trick...
Lupul set him up cross ice pass if Chistov got his stick on it at all it goes into the empty net...but he fanned on it...

could Konopka be a poor mans Steve Thomas to Chistov

they just answered a question about why Jacobson was released...
said no one wanted to fight him so he wasn't able to play that role and he isn't skilled enough to play a regular shift so with playoff rosters needing to be set this week they decided to let him go.

I guess he is playing that role for him this year. They are usually on the same line.

Bryzgalov has been playing stronger as of late.
Who would be your go to guy at this point for playoffs?

I hope Bryz steps up and carries the team through the last 15 games.
Whichever goalie plays better down the stretch should start the playoffs.

Sorry gotta ask but who said that? The radio guys or Jacobson himself?

The Radio Guy.
That would be pretty sad if Jacobson actually said he wasn't skilled enough to play in the AHL. ;)

Well have seen few dumb quotes during the lock-out so I wouldn't rule it out... :)
