OK - we have the forward cuts - now what does everyone think about the defensemen group?
The remaining rookies are Liles and Slovak; the top 5 are presumably set (unless they move Skoula, which has been rumored). That leaves McAllister and Smith. Does the team put Smith on the waiver wire, either scratch McAllister or play him as a forward and keep both Liles/Slovak, or some variation?
Thoughts?

After hearing how well these young guys are playing ...I think Big Mac should be our 7th dman. Maybe use him on the 4th line if Worrell gets injured. Liles sounds like he should make the team.
Maybe Skoula will be dealt for a goaltender.

Thoughts from anyone after last night's game on defenseman makeup or pairings for the start of the season?

Blake - Morris
Foote - Skoula/Skrastins
Skrastins/Skoula - Liles
I believe this is how it will pan out

If neither McCallister nor DJ Smith start to get defensive minutes in preseason then I would suspect the team will lean toward one of the rookie defensemen as 6 instead pushing one of those two to a number 7. If Slovak impresses in the next game they may be on the block because Hershey has a lot of defensive depth right now (see wedderburn trade).
