Does anyone know who from the regular 'stars' will play in the pre season game in Portland Maine against the Pittsburgh Penguins ?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

In all honesty, not many. I went to the games the past two years, I think the only players that was with Wash during the season, were Kono, Sacco and Simon....So dont expect much :x.

Jagr, Olie and Lang showed up. I got some nice pictures of them. The big guys didn't look too thrilled to be there in front of 1000 fans.

My observation on Jagr's Play:
His body language and facial expression are sending negative feedback. This might affect the chemistry on the bench.

While he can most likely do better, he still does great. Everytime he was on the ice he created opportunities to get his team on the scoring board. He is very efficient with conserving his energy and using it when it counts - (a side note: Rico Fata always did the opposite :rolly: )

A lot of hockey fans will never understand his game. They want to see the energy of Theoren Fleury and results of Mario Lemieux.

Someone mentioned him giving the puck away on failed stickhandling maneuvres. I do agree with that assessment. But it started before he got to Washington. I think in his last 2 years in Pittsburgh he started doing this. I used to watch him mostly to admire his ability to handle the puck but for the past 4 years it has been a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps the defenders got better but I think that his mind is not 100% committed on making the play work. He needs to refocus.

After Cassidy said he was setting the lines early on in preseason so to create chemistry and consistency I can't imagine that JJ was happy to see himself lined up with Whitfield and Methot. I wasn't too impressed with the effort form anyone but Fleury who the Pirates err I mean Caps made look like the real deal. Pettinger may be winning a spot with his play but he's so up and down it's hard to tell if he can do it all game long yet alone a full season.
