Top 10 playersnuksforlife 09-21-2003, 04:04 PM Since hockey pool time os coming up I would like to know the top 10 players you would pick for this upcoming year, pick 2 goalies as well. ping 09-21-2003, 04:12 PM Forsberg (love him or hate him he gets points) Heatley (up and comer) Bertuzzi (does it all) Naslund (point scoring machine) Thorton (relied on heavily in Boston) Sakic (Kariya and Selanne as linemates? hullo) Modano (consistent) Demitra (quietly one of the best) Iginla (should rebound) Lemieux (worth it inspite of any injuries he might get) Brodeur (solid team, great goaltender) Turco (good team, and a good goalie) Jewelly 09-21-2003, 04:14 PM Forsberg (love him or hate him he gets points) Heatley (up and comer) Bertuzzi (does it all) Naslund (point scoring machine) Thorton (relied on heavily in Boston) Sakic (Kariya and Selanne as linemates? hullo) Modano (consistent) Demitra (quietly one of the best) Iginla (should rebound) Lemieux (worth it inspite of any injuries he might get) Brodeur (solid team, great goaltender) Turco (good team, and a good goalie)Nice list but wouldn't you rather take JSG than Turco? Peter Griffin 09-21-2003, 04:15 PM In no particular order: Markus Naslund Todd Bertuzzi Joe Thornton Peter Forsberg Joe Sakic Dany Heatley Mike Modano Marian Hossa Paul Kariya Pavol Demitra Martin Brodeur Marty Turco Mimz 09-21-2003, 05:00 PM Joe Thornton Todd Bertuzzi Dany Heatley Sergei Fedorov Joe Sakic Markus Naslund Marian Gaborik Peter Forsberg Mario Lemieux Mike Modano (Milan Hejduk, Ziggy Palffy, Ed Jovanovki, Jason Spezza and Alexei Kovalev will be very good also) Dominik Hasek Martin Brodeur (Roman Cechmanek also deserves a mention) canucksfan 09-21-2003, 05:28 PM Heatley Forsberg Naslund Bertuzzi Thornton Lemieux Sakic Murray Iginla Modano Brodeur Turco LaVal 09-21-2003, 05:32 PM 1.) Bertuzzi - points and PIMS 2.) Thornton - read above 3.) Iginla - read above that 4.) Naslund - consistantly in the top scorers 5.) Demitra - read above 6.) Modano - top scorer, high +/- 7.) Heatley - on the rise 8.) Forsberg - going to have a high PPG, but the question is how many games 9.) Lidstrom - massive scoring, massive +/- G1.) Brodeur - THE goaltender for fantasy leagues G2.) Lalime - going to stack up the W's in a fantasy draft, i'd hope to get one of those players Jewelly 09-21-2003, 05:54 PM I'm still waiting for a taker for JSG... or am I the only buyer? Canadian Chris 09-21-2003, 06:18 PM I think you're the only buyer Jewelly....because personally, I think he is overrated, and I'd much rather go with someone like Turco, Brodeur or even Hasek(even though he's had however long off) nuksforlife 09-21-2003, 06:19 PM Forseberg Nauslund Thorton Bertuzzi Hejduk Sakic Heatly Karyia JSG Hackett(I know i will get killed for this one, but it is a sleeper) cyrisweb 09-21-2003, 06:30 PM I'm still waiting for a taker for JSG... or am I the only buyer? in the hf boards i choose turco instead of giggy.. simply because there are a lot of question marks around him.. will he have the same kind of season? Will the Ducks even make the playoffs? and if so will they go as deep as the did last year? From what I heard Fedorov is not adjusting to well to the ducks... Last season Turco was one of the best goalies in the leaque.. was amoung the top for shutouts.. and wins.. those 2 things are where you get the most points.. Turco IMO is much safer and better bet. Jewelly 09-21-2003, 06:38 PM I think you're the only buyer Jewelly....because personally, I think he is overrated, and I'd much rather go with someone like Turco, Brodeur or even Hasek(even though he's had however long off) Why do you think JSG is overrated? thecanucker 09-21-2003, 07:18 PM 1. Depends on the scoring system. Is GAA taken into account? Or is it just win/loss/tie/OTL? If just wins, do you think Anaheim will finish higher than Dallas? Because both teams will probably ride their respective #1's pretty hard(not to the extent of say New Jersey, but still >60 games I think). canucksfan 09-21-2003, 07:50 PM No Defensemen;) Other people didn't include defenceman. The only defenceman that could make it on the list would be Lidstrom. Broda 09-21-2003, 08:21 PM If it is a pool where goals count for more... i think i would have sakic and selanne both ahead of kariya... just cause he seems more of a playmaker than goalscorer... or maybe im just getting that because the last few seasons he hasn't been with buddy selanne... well anyway... thats just my humbled opinion nuksforlife 09-22-2003, 11:21 AM Depends on the scoring system.
