Since hockey pool time os coming up I would like to know the top 10 players you would pick for this upcoming year, pick 2 goalies as well.

Forsberg (love him or hate him he gets points)
Heatley (up and comer)
Bertuzzi (does it all)
Naslund (point scoring machine)
Thorton (relied on heavily in Boston)
Sakic (Kariya and Selanne as linemates? hullo)
Modano (consistent)
Demitra (quietly one of the best)
Iginla (should rebound)
Lemieux (worth it inspite of any injuries he might get)


Brodeur (solid team, great goaltender)
Turco (good team, and a good goalie)

I think you're the only buyer Jewelly....because personally, I think he is overrated, and I'd much rather go with someone like Turco, Brodeur or even Hasek(even though he's had however long off)

in the hf boards i choose turco instead of giggy..
simply because there are a lot of question marks around him.. will he have the same kind of season? Will the Ducks even make the playoffs? and if so will they go as deep as the did last year? From what I heard Fedorov is not adjusting to well to the ducks...

Last season Turco was one of the best goalies in the leaque.. was amoung the top for shutouts.. and wins.. those 2 things are where you get the most points.. Turco IMO is much safer and better bet.

Depends on the scoring system. Is GAA taken into account? Or is it just win/loss/tie/OTL? If just wins, do you think Anaheim will finish higher than Dallas? Because both teams will probably ride their respective #1's pretty hard(not to the extent of say New Jersey, but still >60 games I think).

Other people didn't include defenceman. The only defenceman that could make it on the list would be Lidstrom.

If it is a pool where goals count for more... i think i would have sakic and selanne both ahead of kariya... just cause he seems more of a playmaker than goalscorer... or maybe im just getting that because the last few seasons he hasn't been with buddy selanne... well anyway... thats just my humbled opinion
