The Wild are being reported that they are having on going negotiations with Brent Burns and want to sign him to a contract. Lemaire believes he doesn't have anymore to really learn in the OHL. So that says something about Brampton and the coach because Burns clearly didn't dominate this year, but could've this year and showed if he could handle first line duties.

The Wild do have an option of sending him back down before the 28th of September but he still gets his signing bonus, so it's very unlikely the Wild are going to send him if they sign him!

GO WILD!

GO BURNS!

I can't tell from your post what you think it says about Stan Butler (Brampton's coach).

And Burns is eventually going to get his signing bonus no matter when he ends up sticking with the team. I don't think that will impact whether or not LeMaire sends him down this year or not. What will impact that decision is how Burns plays in his audition, simple as that.

Brent Burns is a Lemaire guy, a defensive forward so it wont surprise me if he sticks in minnesota. hes also versatile he converted from defense to forward last year and still goes in the 1st round. I wouldnt expect big numbers at all though maybe 10 points 15 max
