Let the drafting begin! The time limit is 12 hours, but hopefully we won't need to use it often. Remember to always PM the next guy after you, and have fun. We'll draft 10 or 12 guys, with a starting 5 designated and then 5-7 bench players. Here are the positions:

Center(C)

The #12 pick is available.

PM me, offers should include something along the lines of a 2nd, 3rd, and a pick between rounds 4 and 6.

Just as I suspected. When posting DynamoAO's pick, I almost put up Duncan as your pick, because I was sure you would never let him slide, but I decided to just make sure. Surprised he fell that far, though.

I would argue this point considering KG is ahead of Duncan in nearly all stat categories except blocks.Plus Duncan can't hit FT's for ****.

LOL. Since the boards have somehow crashed (where the hell is everyone's avatar's :help: ) it took longer than usual for me to change my pick. I would have gone with Kobe but he is damaged goods right now - mentally and physically. Iverson is tearing it up.

I personally feel James is a bit better as well. He's still ridiculously young and has even more potential than he's shown so far. Granted a solid big man is a lot tougher to find than a swingman but James is averaging 25 points, 7 boards and 8 assists. The only part of his game that is holding him back right now is his outside shooting and I fully expect that to get a lot better in the coming years as well.

Duncan is having a bit of a down year (for him) and is actually only shooting .496. I'd definitely take Garnett ahead of Duncan as well (he was my first choice).

IF you know anything about basketball, you know that stats don't mean much for Tim Duncan. Garnett has the edge in surroundings, minutes played but yet his team is below .500.

Garnett's a statspadder, Duncan is the ultimate teamplayer.

Chris Webber is putting up ridiculous stats for a guy that has gone though such a devestating injury. He can't jump like he used to but he is still a dominant player and is a statboard stuffer. I personally wouldn't have taken him top 10 but he's probably still close to a top 20 player...

Hey, sorry for the wait guys. The Bulls are proud to select PF/C Dwight Howard.

I'm really surprised that he's lasted this long. The guy is 19 years old and is putting up 11/10 and 1.5 blocks right now straight out of high school. By contrast, Jermaine O'Neil put up 4/3, Garnett put up 10/6, Kwame put up 5/4 and 7/4. Granted some didn't get as much playing time but Dwight has shown a lot in his time thus far and he's shooting near .500 as a rookie. I fully expect him to become a Chris Webber type player in the very near future.

Howard, Lebron and Kirilenko is a ridiculously solid young trio to build off of...

Spurs draft sensational All-Star and Olympic Gold medal winner, Emanuel Ginobili.

Manu is playing 29.8 minutes per game for the Spurs, but may you project his totals for an average of 40 minutes per game, he'd have exact numbers such as 21.5 ppg - 6.2 rpg - 5.3 apg and 2.05 spg. He's one of the most entertaining, athletic and versatile guards in the league, plus, sooner or later he will get creditted for his sound defensive play.

With Manu, Ron and Tim, the Spurs own some of the best defensive players for their position, if not *the* best.

Drew Gooden at Small Forward? I don't think he has the quicks or the shot to play the position. He's a pretty sturdy 4 guy but I think he would get absolutely slaughtered on the defensive end by an athletic guy Richardson or Carmelo. He'd have a bit of an advantage on the offensive end but he wouldn't even be able to really post up with Randolph and Magloire already in the lane. I'm not a huge fan of Gooden but I'd probably play him at center before I'd try him at Small Forward... :D

It was a really solid draft and will likely go down as one of the best ever. The scary thing is that players like Sweetney, Ridnour, Cook, Bonner and Korver are just starting to become solid NBA players. Likewise, a number of guys like Kaman, Pietrus, Jones, Barbosa and Hayes have shown the potential to be regular NBA players as well.

I wouldn't say that. The guy is just 28 years old and is only a season away from a 20 point, 9.3 rebounds per game average. The problem is that he plays a heck of a lot better at power forward and has never really adjusted to being a true small forward in the league. He's stuck behind Randolph in Portland but he can still be a solid PF in the league if he lands somewhere...

I think it is too late to go with a cap. People have been drafting based on talent alone so far and haven't been thinking about potential salary restrictions. It would be unfair to throw a cap into the mix at this point as some teams will have undoubtedly drafted a number of overpaid but talented players thinking that salary didn't really matter.

The Chicago Bulls draft PG/SG Ben Gordon. He's having a great rookie season and is shooting .451 from three point land which is something my team needs. He's also a very clutch performer in the fourth quarter and looks like he has the potential to be a solid defensive player. He's putting up 14.5 points/game in only 23.1 minutes (very very good) which could translate into 22 points/game with 35 minutes. He's definitely a keeper...

My team might be young but they look like a really solid group that compliment each other perfectly. AK47 is one of the most underrated players in the NBA and he has the potential to put up more points if he plays a bigger role in the offensive scheme.

My starting 5 is now pretty much set:

PG: Lebron James
SG: Ben Gordon
SF: Andrei Kirilenko
PF: Dwight Howard
C: Nazr Mohammed

It's a pretty good combination of defence and offence and all the players are still relatively young. Give this team a year together and they would be absolutely dominant. It's not as much that he's egocentral or anything, but he makes crucial mistakes and takes too many shots for my linkings. He was simply horrendous during the Olympics, a turnovermachine if there ever was one. He just looks clumpsy and unaware on the court at times. Good 3rd option though, but I wouldn't feel comfortable if he were to be anything more.

He's one of the last true point guards in the league, his playmaking is top notch, his scoring above average and his defense fits right in. Pacers' record is awful without him.

Jamaal Tinsley
I was debating between taking Gordon or Tinsley. I needed a bit more scoring guard spot (I think Gordon can score a lot more than Tinsley) though and I already have Lebron as a point-forward to manage the offence.
