THX LP66 nope - it is doubtful whether or not he will make the NHL team...with weinhandl injured it may open a spot for him, but most likely seeing limited ice time... THX LP66 He's improved his skating with the powerskating in the offseason and for 2 straight yrs scored at least 30 goals with the Soundtigers, but Hunter's having another quiet camp,being outplayed by Bergenheim and Mapletoft.I expect him to be sent back down to the ahl. herecomesdabus 09-22-2003, 05:48 AM I think the only way he makes it to the big club is via a trade to another team or a trade that will open up a roster spot. I don't see him making the team through training camp cause he doesn't excel in camps. Another way I see Hunter making the team is when someone gets injured and he gets called up to fill the spot. That's when he usually shines. Hunter had an impressive game Sunday against Boston, scoring a goal for his efforts. He played on a line with Peca and Bergenheim and he seemed very comfortable. the rest of his preseason depends on him making the team. I think he could make the big club if he tries hard, which for the past two camps, he hasn't been able to make a big impression. If he does not make the team, I would expect him to be the primary replacement incase of an injury... -TL | ||
