Pretty sure the idea was for Svagrovski and Liffiton to suit up and play very limited minutes but at least have the experience of playing in a pre-season game. I expect them to be cut and returned to junior tomorrow.

Kinda pissed off that the pre-season games aren't even on the freakin' radio...Grrrr :rant:

No surprise there. Those three aren't ready yet, especially Liffiton and Svagrovsky. Well, at least Johansson was sent to Kamloops; shouldn't be any more of the whiney Blazers fans coming on here for awhile.

I think it was just bad luck of the draw. Boychuk or the others start the first preseason game and they likely get the axe.

Quite honestly, the Liffiton cut surprises me. He played more than McCallister and Smith last night and didn't look bad in doing so. Paired with Adam Foote as well. I figured he would have stuck around a little longer.

I think he's another that because of age, either has to stay in Denver or go back to juniors (ala Boychuk). Since he isn't going to stay in Denver, his junior team may need him more than the AVS do for the next couple of preseason games.
