logging out

ok, I know I'm probably just an idiot but i selected the option for the board to remember my user name and password and now it won't let me log out. When I hit the log out button it says that all cookies have been cleared but i'm stilll signed in. I was just wondering how you can log out to change users for example. Thanks in advance

Use the clear my cookies link in UserCP. Logout doesn't clear them all.

thanks, i just tried that but they automatically regenerate themselves. Any other ideas?

You will have to remove the index.dat file in the /cookies directory. You have to change the permissions of the file and delete it, then restart. You can not do this in Windows native mode, you will have to get to the command prompt. What OS are you using?

OS as in windows xp?

I'll assume you're using Internet Expolrer 6. Leave this website, go to Tools->Internet Options, then click on "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files"? It'll clear your problem right up...
